Sep 30- India v Pakistan

Pakistan had a much better team but they were playing under too much pressure,
Very poor captaincy by Hafeez,
1. Choose to bat first and gave India a bit of relief as the Indian bowling is really ordinary at the moment, they were happy to bowl first and chase down the target.
2. Had plenty of bowling options but couldn't use them wisely,
Pakistan had 5 useful spinners on a turning track, Hafeez, Afridi, Ajmal, Raza Hasan and Shoaib Malik, better utilization of them could have made things difficult for India even though they were chasing such a low target.
There was no reason to bring in Umar Gul and Arafat, they gave away 41 runs in 4 overs, Hafeez bowls well with the new bowl, he should have opened the bowling with Hasan followed by Ajmal and Afridi since 3-4 wickets in the first 10 overs were required to slow down India's scoring rate. Ajmal bowled the 6th over, then he came back and continued from the 12th over:facepalm , this was the most rubbish decision of the match.

Hafeez made a horrible decision to bat first. Not only did that release the pressure of the Indian bowling, it put the pressure back on to our batsmen to score 160+. The batsmen seemed to be in too much pressure. Idk why he didnt chase knowing that we had successfully destroyed the Indian bowling in the warm-up.

His field settings were disappointing. Either he didnt know what he was doing, or was very smart by allowing the Indians to take singles and get the target slowly to protect our NRR. Still If we manage to beat the Aussies we should be in a good position considering SA will probably come hard at the Indians.

Raza Hasan seems to be the future. I think if mentored correctly he could be a big player for us.

oh and Kohli is a beast. You can just see how much he enjoys playing in tough situations.

As usual or expected collapse in batting. raza hasan is looking birght star we have find a great talent in him but now a days batting need strenghting rather than bowling you cant expect to defend 130 against that indian batting and batting first decision was wrong when u know our batting is weakest compare to bowling.but hopes still alives for us 1 good win against aussies and we will be back with confidence but really sad to see those who arrange whole match in uni or in their area with big screens not got the result we all expected:facepalm

Pakistan just gifted India a win. If they had taken all the catches perfectly, the scenario would have been completely different. Although, Kohli should be credited because he has good mentality what speaks "if you have a chance, utilize it rather than risk it".

Hafeez shouldn't have bowled out that 20 year old- #100 guy in the first 8 overs. He had an outstanding start, and giving him irregular overs might have earned him few wickets. Fielding from that 20 year old #100 guy was rubbish, Umar Akmal proved that "Akmal" genes still exist in him.

Pakistan did a team effort to lose this, everyone dropped catches- everyone did misfields:p.

LOL. His name is Raza Hasan.

Good win for India, would have preferred if we could have finished it a bit early to get past Pakistan in NRR but whatever, we still won. Kohli was good as always and the surprise package of today's game, Balaji. He was sensational today and Yuvi did well in bowling.

Balaji was indeed the surprise package.... He has had two very good games (though the first one was against Afghanistan where he took 3 wkts; but they batted well against us). And in the England game, he was given just one over before Bhajji and Chawla ran through England. Balaji has had a good tournament, and should be persisted with.

I was happy with the way Yuvi fielded today. He threw himself around quite a bit, and showed glimpses of the old livewire Yuvraj. But still when batting, he converts two's into singles and doesn't show that quickfire intent when running between wickets. I wish he improves upon that.

Dude - Umar Akmal became a bird to even get to that ball. That comment was quite hard on Umar Akmal.

Hafeez came out as one of the most timid captains. He do not have guts to captain a side especially team like Pakistan which at the moment have so much limitations.
When 90% of the cricket experts were saying that Pakistan should bowl first to further pressurize Indian bowling lineup he chose a decision that was foolish in all senses. It means either Watmore has no control on team's decisions or He is too poor to be a coach.
Then if you are deciding to bat first then you must have somebody like Razzaq in your team who can bat unlike Arfat towards end.
Nonsense team selection, nonsense decisions and which may possibly cost Pakistan an early exist from WT20 this year unless Australia play very poorly against us.
India on the other hand was very good in the field and they remain calm which made it so easy for them.
Congratulations to India.

Finally india won their first super 8 match since 2007 and what a team to beat local rival pakistan :D

A very good win for India.I think we were very confused while batting. There was no confidence at all.We had a quick start but still we were batting without any plan.Seriously complete wrong approach going into a big match. But still India played way way better than us in every department.

Well , everyone will hate Kami after that performance .:rolleyes

Hafeez made a big mistake after winning the toss and batting first.
