So the console users were indeed guinea pigs...

If you want PR spin that makes you feel nice, warm and fuzzy, you got the wrong guy. I accept where we make mistakes, accept *constructive* criticism, but never going to be a punching bag for ****wits that have no intention of ever moving the game forward in a positive manner.

Anyway, another case of continually dishing it but not taking it. It's a forum, lighten the fearsome tweak up.

I agree with the guy it unprofessional when we have got a game that half the stuff doesnt work it gone downhill with some of the stuff stats is pretty awful won't even update or it double that basic lift your game u have got time to argue and call people stuff have time to fix your game

I can't be bothered to judge any of the personal/emotive talk going on, but I do feel that the point that the game hasn't reached it's full PC potential has some credence. For me there are two glaring issues that are likely as a result of the console versions being priority;

1) No proper anti-aliasing. This was also a problem with DBC14 and I'd hoped it would be rectified in 17 but we still don't have MSAA as a graphics option. The game has a lot of jaggies at 1080p and it hurts the overall look. Only solution I know of is to downsample, but this is very performance heavy.

2) Limited moddability. We can only use the "logos" and only on the specific aspects that the in-game tools let us apply them (no stumps/ball/ropes etc) as well as having a limit on the maximum number of logos we can have... While this is a great improvement on console where there was previously no modding at all... It's very limiting for the PC version - I'd be happy to download gigabytes of extra textures and various mods... I have about 30GB of mods for Football Manager 2017!

Regarding 2) we made a decision to bring mods to the Console at the expense of PC modability. Given PC users make up les than 2% of the sales ATM, I think it's justified.

Regarding 1) Everything we do graphically is performance heavy, we are still working on solutions and optimisations.

PS: @mitchell if you want answers that are reasonable then you have to actually ask a reasonable question, not make spurious rambling remarks, we've had three patches so far, god only knows what you're on about when you talk of no updates.

Mitchell they've done a few updates but still something as basic that should have been noticed in the pre testing such as not being able to set a field just shows you..well, you can be the judge of that. It's inexcusable that two months after release that it hasn't been fixed.

Thank you, exactly what I meant when I said games OPTIMISED for PC and nothing to do with which platform the game was DEVELOPED on.

Rules for some but not others.[DOUBLEPOST=1487553301][/DOUBLEPOST]
Nothing I've said was ever not controlled either. It's not my fault the guy had a cry after an off the cuff smart alleck comment
I'm getting you, this is a web forum which is two tiered the establishment get away with everything and then the plebs get... Oops, almost, but you get me bro!

I understand you not prioritising the PC version due to it only being that small proportion of sales, but I am disappointed that the modding on PC has gone backwards in many ways.

Less things moddable.

Limit on maximum number of logos you can have.

Despite being vectors, even on PC there is clear pixellation/jaggedness on things when you zoom in on them, much more so than with a high quality DDS file in 14, so the fidelity of mods is decreased.

The limits on size result in some things with intricate details being impossible to recreate properly e.g. the Bangladesh emblem so people have to cut corners/compromise on detail.

As the OP has said we were guinea pigs and as the OP is always right, I want to ask Big Ant Studios did they get permission for human experimenting? from where?

Don't jump on me, it's just sarcasm.

I'm sure @BigAntStudios would love nothing more than to push out patch after patch every week, however I happen to know that it costs developers at least $40,000 to even get a patch through the approval process, and that's just for Playstation Network alone!. Ross will know the exact amount, but I'm certain Sony don't allow him to discuss the approval process with any great clarity.

Erm.. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Ross has recently said that Sony and Microsoft no longer charge for patches.

Can we expect the patch anytime soon? Or is it a few weeks away? I dont want a timeline. Just curious.
