I've got massive respect for Guptill atm. He turned down an IPL contract last year, and he's done it again this year in order to better himself as a player playing proper cricket in England. I was a bit unsure whether he'd be the real deal against a better bowling attack, but in scoring 78 off 55 he never even looked like getting out (except for one early outside edge). His fielding's on another level as well, imo he's the best fielder on the planet atm.

Yeah I also liked how he wanted to play county cricket to get his test game better. I'm not completely sold on him tbh, the tests coming up against SA will be a huge challenge for him. I mean he hasn't face either Steyn or Philander yet.

I don't see the need for 2 days in between T20's. I don't think we had very good tactics bowling wise, I felt spin should've been used a lot more than pace tonight, it worked well for South Africa and McCullum looked threatening early on. not sure it would've made much of a difference though.
