South Africa vs Zimbabwe & Pakistan, October-November 2010/11

South Africa are at 126-1 after about only 25 overs.

They really should reach the target. South Africa are having more problems with the conditions then with Pakistan.

It would be wise for Smith not to take part in upcoming ODI, since the World Cup is so close.

Pakistan had a decent start of getting 140-1 after 30 overs, but after that they lost their way as usual.

How in the world do we just LOSE every single god dang game.

I mean literally, can we win a SINGLE game?

(I hope this post fits in the new rules)

They've just recently won matches against Australia and England. But this series is going like I expected, especially since I find South Africa to be the team to beat nowadays.

Graeme Smith has broken his hand. Again.

Man, he has some bad luck. How can this happen so many times to the same person? It's as if God is playing some evil trick on him...

Solid performance from South Africa and AB De Villiers continues his good form. Tsotsobe is providing some real selection headaches ahead of the World Cup. It will be very interesting to see how the South African bowling attack shapes up. Botha and Steyn are dead certs. What about the other two? Does Parnell walk back in as he gets more game time? Will they play a second spinner in Van Der Merwe? Extend their batting line up with Albie Morkel? I don't think Morne Morkel can be trusted to be honest. He's too wayward in limited overs cricket and he just tries too much without sticking to the basics. He'll get hammered on flat pitches.

Van der merwe won't be going at all. He has lost his spot to robin peterson after robbie p became available again after his kolpak deal expired.

Steyn,Botha and Kallis pick themselves as far as bowling goes. Then two of tsotsobe, morkel, theron, langeveld or parnell plays, one of them will also miss out on the final 15 wc squad. I think langeveld will miss out on the final squad. If everyone is fit and in top form I would pick theron and parnell, as well as lopsy has done I still think those two are our best death bowlers.

Then it depends whether they want to play robbie p,a.morkel or play both miller and ingram. They have flexible there with ab keeping it opens up that spot. Duminy will also fill in as either the 6th or 7th bowler depending on the choice.

Smith and Kallis won't play in the 2nd ODI against Pakistan. But I still favour South Africa to win. Especially since they are going to bat now.

South Africa scored 286 runs on a bowling pitch. Pakistan is never going to reach that target.

Ingram scored another century. This guy is really peaking at the right time, especially since the World Cup is close.

I thought this match was over, but Razzaq is still hanging in there.

Just an over passed where Wahab Riaz wasted 5 deliveries.

Razzaq just hit two sixes, so the chase is still on.

ZexyZahid added 2 Minutes and 36 Seconds later...

Razzaq hit another six in the over, but Wahab Riaz probably wanted to take single of the last ball to get Razzaq on strike.

33 runs of 18 balls needed. Razzaq has been among succesfull chases like this.

ZexyZahid added 10 Minutes and 18 Seconds later...

Ajmal just was just run out on a no ball. :noway Razzaq wanted the free hit, but Ajmal wanted the second run and was probably sleeping, that he didn't see the raised arm of the umpire.

It seems Razzaq is dealing with sixes, because he just hit another one.

14 runs needed of the last over with Razzaq. I am expecting a lot of South Africans on the boundary rope.

ZexyZahid added 2 Minutes and 28 Seconds later...

Razzaq just hit two sixes in a row. Only 2 runs of 3 balls needed. What a turnaround.

ZexyZahid added 2 Minutes and 40 Seconds later...

Pakistan wins. What a match. You had to see the match just to believe what an incredible chase this was.

What a knock that was. Gutted I couldn't watch it. Weird to think he's only 30 too, he's been around for ages.
