Who will win the La Liga this season?

I'm not watching La Liga that attentively, but ha really how is Mourinho under all this media pressure in Madrid if he is 10 points ahead of Barca ATM.

Surely Madrid aren't going to do to Mourinho like what they did to Capello in 2007/08

He is under pressure because he has yet to get the better of Barcelona. The fans are divided, but I do believe most favour him as can be heard by the Jose Mourinho chants at the Bernabeu. The ones booing him are probably Pathetico and Catalan fans in disguise or something.

I am sure Perez will not fire him unless he ends up losing La Liga. Forget the Champions League, but if Mourinho lets slip this 10 point gap, then the press will pretty much force Perez to make the decision. Thats how it is in Madrid.

However I do not think Mou will let that happen, and given the way we have played this season, even I don't see us dropping 10 (or even 9) points. Even if we do, it would be only matter if Barcelona somehow manage to win all their remaining games. Given their woeful away form, the chances of that happening is actually much higher than us droppoing points.

Barca have pretty much given up on the league anyway. It's all about the Champions League. Barca and Madrid will inevitably face each other at some point and there's where it will all be decided. Winning La Liga but losing to Barcelona is a hollow victory and if Barca go onto win the champions league it'll be even worse.

Agreed but I think he'll keep his job even if we do not win the Champions League. However if we let this 10 point lead slip in La Liga, surely he will be sacked.

Shame we dropped points today (ending a 11 game winning streak) but that FK was something special and deserved a point at the very least for it.

Our second half performance was relatively poor, with the signs of fatigue following the midweek game. The fixture list is tough we still have away trips to Osasuna, San Mames, Nou Camp before the end of the season. We still have to keep working hard.

I only followed the start and the dying minutes of the Real Madrid vs Malaga. Malaga had some chances early on, but I still felt that Real Madrid will sneak through. At the end I saw the face of an upset Casillas and then I knew that the match didn't end in favour of Real Madrid.

It would be pretty wrong to fire Mourinho. In fact, Mourinho might leave Spain himself, since he was recently seen in a house searching in London (possibly going back to Chelsea).

Yup the liga title which seemed to have been secured is now suddenly back on. But its better to have the blip now rather than the next two months. Also the 10-point cushion probably allowed us to drop a few points.

Sociedad game is crucial now - No Pepe, Ramos (both our CBs) and Ozil (highest assists this season) and ofcourse no Mou. Thankfully the game is at home.

Hope it ends here now, 3 points or less with a Clasico still remaining will be too close for comfort. Ofcourse it still requires Barca to win all their remaining games, but still hope these two draws and some of our other recent performances wake up the players ahead of the next two months which are the most crucial.

I can't even begin to fathom how someone can score 39 goals in a season. Ridiculous.

"Fun" fact...Liverpool have scored 40 goals in 33 games. Messi has scored 39 goals in 31 games.

It's a bit annoying to see Real Madrid clear by what was it? Like 13 points or something? Then suffering all those hiccups. OMG! Just checked the standings now to see that it's only one point! Albeit Madrid with a game in hand. Nice to see that Malaga have recuperated quite nicely after their abysmal start to the season and that their big spending is paying off. Also, Levante have also, quite surprisingly, maintained their good form in the Liga BBVA despite only coming up the season before and finishing in the bottom half. They'll hope to be knocking on rivals Valencia's door, vying for Champions League place! Who would have thought it? I wonder if Madrid would consider stealing Juan Ignacio Mart?nez, should Mourinho leave. I mean, they did it with Pelligrini didn't they? And also Bernd Schuster from Getafe who incidentally also managed Levante...

Ronaldo's on rage. Funny 11 of his goals are penalties. Not complaining. But i think Madrid have got this covered. Di Maria's back and probably by the last couple of games Lass and Khedira should be on so they should hover to the finish line before barca can catch up to them.
