Yup, Madrid have it all to do in the second half. Barca have their game in the bag so its upto us to get the three points. Losing Ruud is a blow, but we do have the extra pace of Higuain which imo will be crucial. Get Guti on at halftime.

I guess it was a fairly interesting final day.

I have always thought of La Liga as a similar league to the Scottish Premiership. Two teams run away with it. Real Madrid and Barcelona and Celtic and Rangers. Yet this final day was so dramatic, exciting and thrilling some how it has an advantage over the Scots.

Too bad. Barcelona were so close to the title. But they should have finished the match previous week with a victory. Or if Real Mallorca had scored after 40 seconds or the chance at 55 minutes things would have become differently. But still a good comeback of Real Madrid to win the title.

Thats an invalid comparision. Barcelona were nothing four years back and it was pretty much Real and Valencia fighting for the title. Deportivo were strong till 2003 then suffered a decline. Villarreal, Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad have all done well not so long ago. But in terms on consistency, Real Madrid have been one of the top teams year after year after year.

Which is why in their 105 year history, Real have won 30 la liga titles.
