Who will win the La Liga this season?

I'm sure he'll be able to learn. He'll just need some help at the start and on more complicated issues.

Does Coleman speak Spanish? Could have a bit of a Ranieri situation otherwise!

Ranieri situation with ended with Chelsea in the Champions League and the arrival of a certain Russian.

Nevertheless, managing in Spain is much harder than it is in England, so I expect Coleman to face an extremely rough time.

Sacking Cappello is stupid, but a typical Madrid decision. The club needs stability, you'd be far more successful if you stuck with a manager for more than one year, and that's if they win you the league.

Something that our board has done in the past as well. I think the main reason for this was that a lot of the players werent happy by Capello's tactics. We lost Ronaldo to Milan because of him and now the likes of Robinho and Guti have also expressed their frustation playing under him. Also Kaka's arrival would be even more unlikely if Capello continued as manager.

Personally I dont like the decision. I thought Capello had actually got a fit and working team going and one that could have improved next season. We are no longer a team of just established stars but have a lot of young talent with the likes of Higuain, Torres, Robinho, Gago, Diarra, Ramos playing a crucial role in Madrid's La Liga triumph. Yes his tactics are a bit defensive and not the most promising to watch. But to do everything in your first season with a lot of new players is probably asking too much.

I hope the next appointment is made on sporting grounds rather commercial otherwise instead of building on our successful season we could once again take a step in the wrong direction. Bernd Schuster wouldnt be a bad choice. Much more attack minded than Capello and one who has done extremely well at Getafe.

When i said a Ranieri situation i was talking about how funny it was in his post match interviews :p

Why would anyone want to coach Real? No backing from the board. Capello has won the title twice for them and been sacked straight afterwards.

Wenger at 9/1. that have anything to do with that post Will? :p I think whoever comes in will just be there for a year and then i think Wengers contract will expire and he'll go to one of the 2 in Spain. Just my opinion before a load of Arsenal goons bite my head off

Wenger is staying for at least another season - the season we win the league ;)

Good luck Chris Coleman! A very capable manager... but more suited to British football.

I have been told that we have sacked him because of his style of play. We want to keep the tradition going of Real Madrid C.F. which is attacking football which gives enjoyment to watch. Whilst Capello isn't very attack minded despite winning us the trophy which I fully am thankful to him we will be changing to a attack minded coach.

Personally I didn't like this decision from us, I have always said that we need to let one coach to stay for 2 or 3 years or who knows even more so the team can actually be stable! Changing coaches constantly isn't a good idea as now with the new coach everyone will need to start from ground level 0 and to get adjusted to the new coach's style. If Arsene Wenger is not coming then this was a dreadful decision as all the other options right now are not excellent!

My preferred lineup for the Super Cup first leg would be this:

---------------------Casillas---------------------------
--Ramos-------Metzelder------Cannavaro-----Torres----
---------------------Diarra-----------------------------
--------------Guti--------------------------------------
------------------------Raul--------------Robinho------
--------Saviola-----------------------------------------
---------------------Van Nistelrooy---------------------

Dudek, Gago, Higuain, Pepe, Soldado, Emerson, Balboa

Real Madrid must have a bottomless money jar.

Sevilla take a 1-0 lead then. Two really close chances for us, but just not our night, I guess.

I'm confident thought that we'll clinch it at home.

Some confidence I had, lol. Rubbish defending cost us the game although in terms of attack, moves and passing I was pretty happy. Drenthe's goal was awesome and overall the signs look good for the new season, if we manage to sort out the defensive wobbles.

All hail David Silva............what a way to win the game..........in the last few minutes......awesome!!

Although I couldnt figure why Aragones was playing (started with) a 3 man defence in an away game???

Sneijder is the man!!!!!!!

New season, but we win yet again with a late goal. And that too ofter the worst start possible.

Anyways, the match apparently wasnt broadcasted anywhere outside Spain due to contractual issues. Should be sorted out soon though.

Great result For Madrid..A fine display by the Shuster Side...
They started the match off pretty badly, conceding a very early goal, however they dominated the rest of the game with some great, exciting one touch passing Football. Sneijder is the man, well said M Vaughan...a great performance by the Midfielder...He had many attempts on goal..mostly long range efforts...I think he deserved his goal.

On the other side Guti also had one great chance through a Free- Kick, very close to the penaly box.

The defence as always wasn't up to the mark, but Iker Casillas could respond very well to all shorts. A very good performance by him also.

New Signings proved out to be pretty well..however still waiting to see how Robben will fit in.

Raul's performance was also very great...some great through-balls and great header to get the equaliser.

!!VIVA MADRDI!!
