This was a terrific innings from Dhoni no doubt, but before I start comparing him with the great Gilchrist, I would want him to score runs when playing away from home. Both his ODI hundreds have been on home turf.

Till then Gilchrist, Sangakkara and Boucher remain in their exclusive club.

Can't ask for something better from Dhoni, a superb innings, just before Diwali. I hope this provides some respite for India, amid of Delhi bombings and cyclones. You can see now, cricket is a bit more than a sport in India.

It was a fearless innings, when he came after India lost Sachin. Sometimes i find him funny, especially when he "golfs" the ball rather than showing technique. But as long as it works, who cares!
He's not a Gilchrist though, Gilchrist has scored in several conditions against different attacks and also in much worse situations. He is a legend on his own. Dhoni seems to be going in the right direction.

INDIA, INDIA, INDIA!!!!!!!!, India lead the series 3 nil with 4 more odis to go, I doubt that Sri lanka can come back and win 4-3 when the whole Indian teams on fire, another convincing win for the Indians. India's getting better all the time.

Dhoni innings is a class of his own, Imagine if Sehwag, Tendulkar and Dhoni was in full form at the same game?, boy oh boy I would love to see that.

Fardin is very very wrong, I did'nt even think he belived in what he said, anyway India has just proved him wrong. Like I said India's had a rough time in the last 18 months, now the next 18 months should be good for team India.

India's going in the right direction for ' world domination'. The Indian team is better and stronger without Ganguly, Dravids captaincy is very good, he is the one who moved dhoni up the order today, instead of Pathan playing in that slot.

I'm starting to think India can win 7-0!, India just walloped the second best odi team in the world in the 1st 3 games India chased down a stiff target, Indias put a good scoreon the board, and Indias bowlings coming good, we also got Sachin, Dhoni, Dravid, Pathan, H singh and Kartic in some kind of form. Sri Lanka must be upset and depressed, by looking at thier body luanguage when they lost the match, India should take full advantage of it and wallop the lankans in the next 4 odis. I knew the lankans was poor overseas, they always have been, revenge for the Indianoil cup defeats!.

Lankans have always been poor outside sri lanka.
We have never seen them win anytournament except sharjah and the emirates one.

And India's won all 3 matches with ease.So that also does'nt make it sound like the lankans have given a tough fight.
Infact ,we have outplayed them in all forms in the last three matches.

The thing with us Indian fans is that, we have unflinching faith on the team. we know that this team is worth putting all our faith on! I think fardin is just abusing the Indian team for the sake of abusing it (still dont know from where he is!).. but lets not attack a single person here...

Going by the experiments, I expected Dhoni up the order in Mohali and Pune today! but still as you say, its miraculous of some one being promoted up the order to come up with such an innings!

Actually, at the start of the series no one would expect that... Still I dont expect it because the Sri lankan batting seems to slowly fall in place! Today, they were massacred by a storm called Dhoni! Who knows if they score the same total again and Dhoni and a few other top guys are out???

Murli Kartik was supersubed with Suresh Raina.

So Viru,Sachin,Dhoni,Rahul,Yuvraj,Venu,Raina,Irfan,JP Yadav.
Agarkar & Harbajan can do well with the bat too.
Also all the above players can bowl too.

So,India's having 11 all rounders in the team now.

Rahul Dravid bowls offbreak & he's a wicket keeper too.
His best bowling is 2/43 against South Africa & I think he picked up the wicket of Gary Kirsten.

But not a regular partime bowler(haha an oxymoron).

Sachin,Sehwag,Yuvraj ,Raina & Venu can bowl in addition to the regular bowlers.

Sachin would be quite a good bowler if he had put more time into it. He has got some lethal deliveries when he gets it right.
