Yuvraj Singh isn't bowling lately. Only bats.

Jayasuriya has been failing for some series now.

I still think he has problems with his shoulder, although he bowled in previous ODI's. He better take a rest and come back fully fit.

Superb performance from India this match to win it comprehensively! A hard slap on the faces of people who said we have lost the momentum and will again lose!

Yuvraj Singh was awesome today! Dont know why but the presence of Kaif in the team seems to inspire the batsman in Yuvraj! In Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe when Kaif was there, Yuvraj blossomed. When Kaif wasnt there for the first four matches, Yuvraj failed. Now Kaif is here, Yuvraj is back! Great chemistry!

What next in the experimentation? Eager to know that! Dravid should be back for the next game! Did you all notice one thing? It was announced before the match that Agarkar would play and Sreesanth wont play. But the team management conveniently changed it!

What should I say. I started following cricket after 1996 World Cup. Not a good time to start as Jayasuriya and SL battered India to pieces later on. I just hate that guy "Jaya". He never performed so well against good bowling attacks but Indians were unable to figure him out. He hit that 188 in Sharjah at a time when I thought he has lost it and should retire but no!! And I know Indian team still fear him for nothing. He doesn't have the talent anymore. Its just his reputation which gets him going against India. why can't he retire like De silva and do SL cricket some good.

Desperate times I guess although if hes injuried and SL clearly lost this game, I don't know why SL bowled him. No point really.

His attacking batting still has some of its scars on we, Indians!

Yes, its time for him to retire now! He doesnt look the same old Jayasuriya anymore!

They are a fantastic combination!

Today was their 3rd 100 partnership and they have 4 50 run partnerships!

Yes I agree they got along well and have scored some match winning partnerships together.

Coming to the win, good performance by India again, and they really played well. I dont know whats happened to SL. I am aware that they are terrible outside SL, but their performances against India have always been good. Seems down on confidence at the moment, and India is making most of it. Good work, Greg Chapell!

I agree, India should not live up to his reputation.

Thier was the one time when I was watching India play the lankans, that it would have been a miracle if Jaya got out early, it was a feeling like ' on , no jaya's going to score a 4 or a 6 any ball now'. It was like Gilchrist battering us in the world cup final.

Yuvraj won't perform now in the last match.
Don't know why the selectors persited with him for long.
Also todays innings was not one under pressure.
Only time I have seen him play well under pressure is TheU-19 WC Final in 2000 and Natwest Final in 2002.

Lol, so you know the feeling. And I always thought, we got Tendulkar so its even stevens. But no, we also had those matchfixers putting more pressure on Tendulkar so he couldn't perform to full extent and that's why Vaas got him few times. SL was never good enough. Not even good enough to win that world cup. Remember how India floundered their chances in the semi-finals. That's one match which never gets away from mind. Even the loss to AUS in 2003 doesn't hurt much than that one.

I agree with you, I want Tendulkar to come back and like he played in the 97/98 season, evreyteam was feared of him, ecspeccialy the aussies, the world cup 03 deafeat did hurt me, becuase India started off bad, but they bounced back strongly, they won 8 out of 8 games and those 8 wins in a row was one sided, I felt that the Indian team was clicking at that time, and I thought the India team will win the final, all India had to do is chase like they did agiasnt Pak, bowl like they did agiasnt the Lankans and the New Zealanders, and put the score up like in the match vs the Lankans, I also thought that the aussie bowlers would be under-tremendos pressure, the Pak bowlers were in that world cup much better then the Ausssie attack, so I thought this is the time, but when India lost, I felt a bit dejected, I thought this was India's best ever chance to win a world cup.

About the Lankan in the 96 world cup semi-final, I remember this like it was yesterday, India got off to a great start when Sri l was 10-3, then De Silva batted superbly and got the lankans to a defendable totel of 252, when India was chasing Tendulkar was playing class in the semi-final, he was playing like he wanted the world cup, India's was in a good position at 98-1 in 23 overs, then suddenldy due to some fualty shots, and the pitch was spinning sharply ( sharpest ever I think), it was hard to bat and play strokes and India from 98-1 in 23 overs 12 overs later then collapsed to 120-8 in 35 overs, when the crowd went beserk and threw stuff onto the field, the match was awarded to the lankans, but what was worse was to see Vinob Kambli leaving the field in tears, he wanted to win it for India.
