When your entire batting lineup averages in 20’s in the last 2 years, scoring those 30-40 seems better. We are asking his head to be chopped when we just let go Puji and Jinx after 3 years of failure.

That is why you put faith in a player and groom him where he lacks. The returns may or may not be immediate but it does give a huge huge return in the long-term.

Something to gain for Sri Lanka over here against a strong Indian team at home. Suddenly India looks a different side under Rohit Sharma. Oppositions around the world should actually worry this Rohit-Rahul combo!
