Sri Lanka tour of New Zealand

Jaywardene is the rock. We can't get him yet. Things looking bad now, record will need to be broken. Our batting would need to improve tenfold.

-> The SL team are hypocrites. Two warnings for running on the pitch in the same match. I don't think that is "In The Spirit Of The Game".

Saliva is doing alright too, haven't actually seen him in this innings i just saw the scorecard, 4/160 the Kiwis need a couple of quick wickets

Oops jinxed M.Jayawardene :)
Silva is having an awesome game so far, 2nd 50 in this match just when SL needed it.

The score is too big now. Especially since Oram and McCullum will be restricted and Martin can't bat.

Someone like Astle would need to go out and just smash it.

Silva has done well. Not without offering the odd chance or aired ball but still, two fifties in a match, especially this low scoring is a great performance.

what is Sri Lankas lead now?

Just saw its 350, your right its to big, but with another 3 days left its not over yet

It's on cricinfo, 352 atm almost at stumps for the day. Silva on 75 and looking good for a 100. NZ have got a real fight on their hands here especially facing Murali last on this pitch and not picking Malinga.

you reallly really need to give up on that man honestly, why dont ugo in the Eng/Aus thread and post that too cuz i saw that Mahmood got a warning. it was in the last match u won it be happy about it even the Sri Lankans put it behind them and ur capt brought it up again.

Our captain bought it up again because he was disgusted at our media. It was directed at them for covering up the fact that we won a Test Match with this incident. You should have seen some of the papers here.

And I have said the same thing in the Aus/End thread. :/

Look dude, if Sri Lanka want to play picky with whats in the spirit of the game, I am merely pointing out that they aint perfect either.

yea but u can say it once, not bring it up every time u see somthing that is considered in your eyes not to be "in the spirit of the game". but to put that behind us Silva has played great to get his century, would have liked to see Prasanna get a half century. Sri Lanka should bat maybe another 30 overs if they dont get bowled out before and than declare and go after the kiwis.

Kiwi bowling attack isn't looking all that threatening now, didn't do much damage with the 2nd new ball.
Kiwis do need to clean up the tail quickly though then they at least have something that could be chased with 2 days remaining.

The pitch is at its best now. Great batting track. THe bowling hasn't been brilliant but I wouldn't say it's been terrible. It's just Silva. Great innings from him. He seems like he may make a decent ODI player with his attacking strokes. Really, his innings has 98% won Sri Lanka the game. I think we are in the same situation as England and South Africa are currently in, chasing too many runs to win after decent first innings bowling efforts.

THese are the type of conditions where Oram can do a good job. Unfortonatly we will be without him. So long as he is fit for the ODI's thats alright. We now must focus to win 2-0 for the Twenty/20s and 5-0 for the ODIs

The curator for the pitch is a melbourne dude, i dont know if he did Melbourne pitches but if he did the pitches might be similar

Sri Lanka are really putting down the sword now
just saw the domestic comps for NZ and Papps got a hundred as well and Mcullum, you guyz think Papps should have been selectored for this match? Also Ingram has got a hundred in both innings, he is 128 not out at the moment
