T20 world cup is coming up soon and I think it's time for countries to really think about their best sides instead of using T20s to expose new players.

It's difficult to really choose a team at the moment, but I think the best Aussie XI would be

Warner
Watson
S. Marsh
Finch/Birt
D. Hussey
M. Hussey
Wade
Pattinson
Cummins
Beer
Bollinger/Faulkner/Hilfenhaus

I'd love to see Mike Hussey give his spot away and focus on Test cricket, ditto for Pattinson and Cummins actually. Maybe even ditto for Watson, Warner and Marsh :p

Then just make a side out of players who did well in the Big Bash and/or IPL. It's probably a tad too early to call who those players might be.

We've only got 4 T20I before the World T20, if our selectors use that to rest players or rest them in the ODI series is the question. For the World T20 I'd go full strength:

Marsh
Warner
Birt
Watson
Dussey
Hussey
Wade
Pattinson
Cummins
Nannes
Doherty

Hodge
Mitch Marsh
Maxwell/other spinner
Faulkner/McKay/Lee

Not quite sure what to do with the 4 matches we have, if we rest Cummins and Pattinson in the ODI series then you could play them in the T20.

I dont know what to post when it comes to Indian cricket after the recent months :facepalm

76 days of IPL and then this :facepalm

The squad should be

Gautam Gambhir
Virender Sehwag
Rohit Sharma
Yuvraj Singh
Ambati Raydu
Robin Utthapa
Irfan Pathan
Ravindra Jadeja
Yousuf Pathan
Umesh YAdav
Varun Aaron
Praveen Kumar
R Ashwin

No White? Hes captain!

He's in terrible form. In 4 BBL innings he's scored 7 off 21 balls. If they had the regular state teams playing T20 he'd struggle to get a game for Victoria

I'd like to see Watson especially give up on T20's. His career has been plagued with injuries and opening the batting in all three forms, as well as bowling, is just asking for an early retirement. From my understanding, a good percentage of his earnings are from the IPL, so it makes sense that he still wants to play T20i's unfortunately.

Warner and Marsh should hang around awhile longer, but if they can cement their place in the test side, I'd like to see them give it up too.

Birt and Finch have looked good from what I've seen. Hussey bros. are dangerous and Mike's fitness hasn't been in question as far as I can remember, so he might aswell stick with it.

So, my never-going-to-happen batting line up would be: Warner, Finch, Marsh, Birt, M. Hussey, D. Hussey, Wade.

Bowlers don't mean anything, so whoever is fine.

You want to take the risk of having Ravindra Jadeja in another T20 World Cup???? I would have Pragyan Ojha instead. Already Yuvraj can bowl 10 good overs of left arm spin. Him, Yusuf and Ashwin will be our spinners. Dhoni is definitely playing. Can't see him out of the side. Here is my team

Gambhir
Uthappa
Raina
Rohit
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Yusuf
Irfan
Ashwin
Praveen
Yadav

Others: Rayudu, Aaron, M Tiwary

Bowlers mean probably more than the batsmen these days

A bowler's performance means jack ???? to me, whether they get 5/20 or 0/40, it just depends on the luck of the batsmen. Throw any of our plethora of bowlers in there and they'll bowl their 4 overs no problems. The onus is purely on the batsmen for me.

It does depend on how well the batsman bats, but the skill of a bowler does play a part in overall score of the batsman. Let's say that a batsman is destined to score 40 off 25 with average bowling. That could be 40 off 30 with good bowling or 40 off 20 with bad bowling. Enough to win you or lose you the game

For Sri Lanka I will go with something like this.

Jayawardene
Dilshan
Chandimal
Sangakkara
Bhanuka Rajapaksa(not quite sure where to play him)
Mathews
Thisara Perera(depend on LO form)
Sachitra Senanayake/Randiv(both seems to be fallen out of favor with selectors):mad
Eranga/Lakmal/whatever fast bowler we have
Mendis/some other spinner
Malinga

Personally i believe if you have played a test match in the past 2 years you cant play in a T20I.

If we were worrying about resting our test players this would be my squad.

1. D. Warner
2. A. Finch
3. T. Birt
4. D. Hussey
5. P. Forrest
6. D. Christian
7. M. Marsh
8. M. Wade
9. J. Faulkner
10. B. Lee
11. X. Doherty
12. A. McDonald
13. R. Quiney
14. C. McKay
15. B. Edmondson

IPL is :facepalm and not this WC. I always look forward to T20 WC. IMO, T20 should just have the WC and some matches like they are now. And, all the other leagues should be done with.

The Domestic Leagues are really good to get the people into the grounds tho, no one goes to domestic cricket anymore, so these T20 leagues gets bums on seats.
