Shot phrases:

Thats off the meat of the bat

depending on power & position
he's stroked that through cover
thats been slapped into the covers

Shots

Texbook <shot>
Straight out of the coaching manual

Straight Drive
Straight back past the bowler
showed the full face of the bat on that ocassion

If LM could post the list of shots on here, then lines could be written for each shot

Geoffrey Boycott classic:
"It's missing leg, missing off, and knocking middle out about half way up!"
!

Thanks for that...Im going out soon...so Ill do em when I get bak

how about this 'Oh and he's Hit the ball!' and 'He Struck That Shot With Great Aplomb'
prounounced : A-Plom-B

OK, Ive thought of a few changes.

In the bowled section..."Bowled" and "Bowled him" should be said most often...

IMO we can make phrases said often by making duplicate files of them so when a random file is chosen they are said most often.

EDIT: Have I missed out any sections here:

Out ? Bowled

LBW - OUT

Not out ? pitched outside leg

Not out ? general (normal appeal)

Not out ? hit outside the line of off stump.

Not out ? inside edge

Not out ? too high

Not out ? missing leg

Edged behind - Caught behind ? dropped

Caught in slips

Edged but not to hand

Edged, but just short

Caught by silly fielder ? (help needed)

Stop by silly fielder

High or Skied

OUT ? general (caught in infield OR outfield)

Caught in outfield

Dropped

Doesn?t go to anyone

Foot on boundary rope:

General Fielding

Good infield stop

Sliding stop just inside the boundary

Turn and Throw

Chased down

Fantastic jumping in the air catch

Caught off the hook

Four runs

Six - General

Six into crowd

Six out of ground

Milestones

Mindless Chat ? more needed

Beats the infield

One run ? only quick single

One run ? general or quick single

Two runs

Three runs

Four runs ? run four

Send him back whilst running

Run out: OUT; Not out

Run out: third umpire; out; not out

After run out:

Direct hit; out; not out; third umpire; out; not out

Shot phrases ? more needed (Said before one run general, two runs, three runs, or running four sometimes, said before four runs (boundary) all the time.)

That is a good idea, with like highlights of the session's play being voiced-over. I have to say it will be quite hard to do, fluently.

Commentary lines for LBW,

The finger has gone up and he's given it out LBW
That's out surely!
That's plum out!
No, he disregards that one, and he's got it spot on.

one thing i wanna point out is that commentary that should be said in late parts of the game shouldnt be said in the beginning.

for example in blic it says: "hes bowled really good today, he definately deserves a wicket"

something like that but its actually like the first or second the guy bowled.

Sounds good to me. I'm all for that.

I would do that with duff if he wants. I think a discussion of what happened in the session and then the wickets and other highlights would be good, although it would obviously be skipable too.

When a huge six has been hit.

- "That may be a catch in the crowd!"
- "All the hands are in the air in the crowd, may be a catch from the spectator!"
