Story Team India- Men in Blue's Diary||Indian Tour to New Zealand-//Australia VS India, First Innings//-

Like this layout, might just use some of these ideas for my story. Good work here mate

No Hughes? That dissapoints me :p Anyway, good presentation Binnu, KIU. Great batting by Timmy Paine, Warner also did well, might be a good selection for the actual ODIs.

Rohrer was selected. My intension was to select Hughes but it was rohrer who made it possible..:)

Hey Binnu. Here's a suggestion. Have a topic to talk on and we can post replies regarding the topic. For example, it could be Ben Rohrer's inclusion or Tim Paine's nice innings to give Australia a good chance in the match.

Why would Hughes be selected for the ODI series.

Why wouldnt he be selected for the ODI series? Just because he hasnt played an ODI for Australia doesnt neccesarily mean that he cant play one-dayers for ████ mate. He has the ability and potential to be a great player in all forms IMO.

Mates, this is to inform that the pictures making for scorecard will take more time for the first time. So I won't be updating it today.
I'll just post some interviews with the players etc etc and update the rest match in the weekend.
Else, as this is practice match, I'll just take out the scorecard posted rather I just put up in Code.
When the actual matches start, I'll try keeping scorecards.

Well, India A needed 252 runs to win where as they managed to hit just 227 for the loss of all 10 wickets in just 42.2 overs. Australians were happy as their things started well in India Beating India A by 24 runs.
When we go deeper into the match, we had Ambati Rayudu hitting a blistering Knock of 108 off 95 balls with total of 16 crossing the rope out of which 4 above them.
Sreevats Goswami even did contribute his best but it was Peter Siddle, who took wickets at right time and sealed victory of Australia against India A.
If we look into the scorecard of India A, it looks something like this:-
Code:
Player Status Runs Blls 4s 6s S/R
Sreevats Goswami c. Paine b. Johnson 56 56 5 2 100.0%
Ambati Rayudu c. Watson b. Johnson 108 95 12 4 113.7%
Sub. Badrinath lbw b. Hauritz 4 13 0 0 30.8%
Tirumalsetti Suman lbw b. Siddle 19 22 3 0 86.4%
Stuart Binny c. Johnson b. Siddle 10 18 1 0 55.6%
Reetender Sodhi not out 21 24 0 0 87.5%
Manish Pandey c. Watson b. Hauritz 1 3 0 0 33.3%
Laxmipati Balaji c. Paine b. Hauritz 1 6 0 0 16.7%
Sudeep Tyagi c. Paine b. Siddle 2 9 0 0 22.2%
Ashoke Dinda lbw b. Lee 0 1 0 0 0.0%
Shadab Jakati b. Siddle 1 7 0 0 14.3%

 Total: 227/10 Overs: 42.0 Run Rate: 4.54 Extras: 4

The lower middle order fail started when Manish Pandey fell to Hauritz from when, it was just Wickets Package.
If we look into Australian Bowling, it looks something like this:-
Code:

Peter Siddle 10.0 1 47 4 4.70 0 0
Brett Lee 7.0 0 37 1 5.29 0 0

Siddle opened up the proceedings for Australians and he even was successful in picking wickets.
TBH, the total credit goes to Siddle and Hauritz, who broke India A lower middle order and tail.
Nathan Hauritz after the match quoted:-
Well, I am happy as we won the match. It'd be good if we continue this form in the total tour. And No Doubt, Michael Hussey, Today's captain was excellent. He gave me some tips with which I could pick up some wickets when we needed. My thanks to another spinner along with me none other than Andrew Symonds who said some tricks as experienced at these sub continent pitches. Now, I even have some command over sub continent pitches as I played Champions League T20 in the recent past and I think these practice matches would gain me total knowledge over sub continent pitches.
And at Post match presentation, we had India A Captain Badrinath quoting:-
Win would have made me inch closer to Indian Captain for the 3rd and 4th ODI's. Happy with the performance and the effort by Rayudu was really excellent. Never mind this defeat as cricket is a game where one should accept defeat happily.
Australian Captain (For 1st Practice match) Michael Hussey quoted:-
I am really happy with the performance by our team. Hope we continue the same in the total tour and win the ODI series against India. And I even appreciate effort by Rayudu and Goswami as they made me frustrate a lot especially when Rayudu was batting, I thought that we'll lose this game for sure. But I think Siddle and Hauritz made it possible for us.
Man of the match was awarded to Peter Siddle who took 4 wickets at economy rate of 4.7 with a maiden in his 10 overs.
He, being slightly injured while enjoyment of the last wicket, was taken to pavilion and was not available at the presentation party.
The next game of Australia was against the same side but at different venue (Hyderabad). Australians are scheduled to move to Hyderabad the next day after which they'll have some practice and get ready for another One Day game against India A.
To Be Continued...

Binnu added 8 Minutes and 50 Seconds later...

Mates, just talk about the match performance so that I can quote it in Public talk section. Even comment about my presentation but first talk about the match. Them by keeping "========" below that, do comment on my presentation.
Cheers.

India A didn't get the right batting order tbh.
Manish Pandey was way down the order.
Ambati Rayudu though performed well but should have been at no. 4
The Aussies did well.
Presentation is neat and clean.

Thanks a lot mate. Your post is selected for General Chit chat among people.:)

Rayudu is a natural opener...
This quote will be in Chit chat along with some other thing in addition to this. (Like If he'd have stayed at crease for some more time, India A would have win the game.)
If you want something to say, just edit that post. I'll keep it in general chit chat.:)

It looked good at the start for India A Goswami and Rayudu building a good partnership before Johnson got the breakthrough of Goswami for 56. The middle order just couldn't get going though and capatilize on the good start with Hauritz and Siddle bowling very well. Johnson didn't bowl too badly taking 2 very important wickets, especially the wicket of Rayudu who made a great century but it wasn't enough to give India A a victory. A fine bowling performance from Australia and they will want to keep it going into the actual series against India.
