Dashing Opener David Warner along with Tim Paine took their positions. RP Singh along with MS Dhoni was setting the field. Then took place the event of first ball where the ball was trashed to boundary over RP Singh. RP Singh changed his angle and started bowling round the wicket from the second ball itself. The second ball was a single and Tim Paine got the strike. He just took a single and gave Warner strike again. Warner, who hit the ball to the longest end, took two runs with ease. The third one was rejected by Paine. From then on, he scored nothing till he faced 9 balls. The 10th ball he faced, he tried to take a risky single when he missed the ball. Dhoni, who failed to run out Paine threw it to the non stirkers end. The umpire Daryl Harper just sent it upstaris to third Umpire Billy Bowden. Billy signaled that it was out by giving it out on LED screen.
David Warner, an agressive opener was walking towards the pavilion for 7 runs.
Then came it the captain of Australia, Ricky Ponting. His innings was crucial as if he failed to score runs, there were only two to three batsmen, who were experienced on Sub Continent pitches. He played slowly in the begining and later on, picked up some boundaries with 2 over it. While Ricky was playing, RP Singh appealed very confidently for an LBW decision which was given. Paine started walking. It was Tim Paine, who was out for 4 runs. Then came in Mr Cricket Mike Hussey. Huss started off agressively. Ponting was agressive at times but it was Huss, who was agressive right from the beginning. The duo scored two runs along with a ton of runs for their partnership.
Meanwhile, it was Harbhajan Singh, who was handed over the ball with a objective of restricting the runs. Bhajji not only bowled economically but he even took three crucial wickets including the agressive guy at the crease, Huss.
He was at crease when he was at 58. He hit a six when he was at 58 which fetched him six runs. The very next ball he faced was a tricky one and thinking that it'd be a wide, he left the ball which turned out to hit the stumps where Harbhajan Singh celebrated his first of the three.
Then came in Andrew Symonds, whose main objective at that time was to fulfil the work of Huss.
Alothugh he scored more than run a ball, but he din't stick on to crease much time.
His IPL team mate Pragyan Ojha picked him. It was wonderful effort by Yuvraj Singh in taking that catch by standing at Gully point. He (Yuvi) dived to his right side wth great difficult as he was a southpaw, and took a catch which made total Chinnaswami stand up and appreciate.
Then came in the IPL locatist, Cameroon White. A great cheer when he walked in but when he scored less than run a ball and gave away his wicket to Harbhajan Singh, Chinnaswami Cheered even loudly.
A ball before Bear got out, it was turn of Ricky Ponting, when RP Singh tempted him to loft the ball when he was at 6 less than a ton.
Ben Rohrer, the Debuctant, with a mind set of "Pressure" as it was his first International match, wlaked onto crease. He seemed as if he was the differentiater after the first ball he had in his International carrier. He lofted the ball and was in a position of sending it outside the boundary with three bounces.
Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Hauritz failed again where as Binga and Nannes came up with 20 and 14 respectively, a well needed end for Australia.
Overall, they managed to get 259 runs off 296 balls as they were bowled out with 4 balls to go.
RP Singh picked up two, Harbhajan picked three, Ojha, Irfan Pathan and Sreesanth picking up one each, and rest two were dismissed by MS Dhoni, Wicketkeeper of India.
Only 5 wides were bowled by India along with a Legbye to Cameroon White.
They ended up giving 6 extras, which is pretty economical now a days.
India Need 260 runs to win from 300 balls
Two Indian Openers, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag turned up on crease ready for the second innings of the match.
Tendulkar and Sehwag started off well by adding 113 runs from 120 balls.
Then Sehwag got out when he was at 42 from 67 balls with 4 fours and at a rate of 62. Haurtiz was enjoying as he got his man.
Bangloreans were disappointed as they couldn't see Sehwag blitzing. Even, one of the fan of Sehwag, Mr Abhishek Sharma aka Yudi was pretty disappointed of Sehwag. But Tendulkar was on fire and he reached his nervous ninetys. He hit a four when he was at 90. A well risked upper cut by Tendulkar takes him to 94. And then??
What Happened??
A Huge one out of the stadium to make the disappointed fans of Sehwag cheer for Tendulkar's CENTURY..!!
It was the longest six of Tendulkar in his carrier.
Tendulkar, as usually, took out his helmet and first raised hit bat and helmet to his team mates and then the total crowd.
Some fireworks go up as its "
Kartika Maasa Paurnami", a festival of India where we burn crackers.
Then, Gautam Gambhir was bit slow and he even gave away his wicket to Birthday Boy, Mitchell Johnson.
Dhoni and Yuvraj failed as it was Dhoni first, getting out for 13 runs and then it was Yuvraj, who got out for a duck.
Rohit Sharma Came in and supported Tendulkar.
Tendulkar, who was given out when the ball hit the pads of Tendulkar when Dirk Nannes bowled it.
Irfan Pathan, a guy who wanted to perform was sent out when Cameroon White threw a ball, which touched his pads exactly infront of stumps.
The damage for Australia was already over. Now, Indians need 15 runs from 25 balls where Harbhajan and Rohit Sharma finished it off.
