Match Report:
Well it was an easy match for Australia, England batting dreadfully. Hauritz ended up with man of the match with 11 wickets. Prior and Strauss were the only England batsman to pass fifty in the entire test. Anderson has had an ok Ashes series taking 19 wickets at 37.37, Englands best bowler. Panesar should be dropped only taking 10 wickets at 45.7 and not getting any wickets in that game. Ponting made a solid performance back from injury hitting a century and Clarke also batted well. Hauritz has had the best series he's ever had taking 29 wickets at 16.17 with still one match to go. Australia have won the Ashes in England, with still one match to go.

Easy win for the Aussies, Hauritz was excellent picking up an 11 wicket haul. Great work mate, kiu!

Thats a Real Easy Win For Aussies.
Hauritz was excellent with the bowl.
England need to be batting well for the next one.
Good Work.;)

Hussey c. Sidebottom b. Anderson 115

5:05 pm: Ponting after surviving a close LBW shout from Anderson on 99 makes a century.

5:38 pm: Clarke is the man to go not making a big score. North will now come to the crease.

North c. Cook b. Flintoff 11

6:20 pm: The big wicket of Ponting, Anderson bowls him out and the England team celebrate.

6:27 pm: At the moment, it looks like only Ponting and Hussey can hold a bat. Broad gets his second wicket and Australia's tail are now exposed.
Haddin b. Broad 8

End Of Day 1:
Australia: 332/7
Ponting: 152: Hussey: 115
Anderson: 3/76: Broad: 2/66

Current Batsman:
McDonald: 4* (11)
Hauritz: 0* (0)

Days Play:
England got off to a good start getting both openers out. Ponting made a good 150, his second consecutive century since back from injury. Hussey continued his fine form to make a good partnership of 225 with the captain. He now has 3 centuries and 1 unbeaten half-century. The rest of the batsman didn't perform, only Clarke reaching 20. Anderson bowled well getting the 3 big wickets of Katich, Ponting and Hussey. Broad finished with 2 wickets in his first game back. Im surprised Australia dont have less wickets down as it really is a batsman's paradise.

Now theres a good partnership when you need one. Ponting and Hussey both played superb cricket, and both made well earned centuries.

yeah, i just added in the total partnership in the days summary, a nice 225 run partnership. in the last 2 tests, there has been 2 players making big scores and the rest fail to make any at all.

also, after this, should i do the ODI's and if so should i start an international career with Australia and simulate up until the Ashes or like do 7 ODI exhibition matches.

Day 2:

Australia are in a strong position since England will have trouble to make 200. McDonald and Hauritz start at the crease with still Lee and Bollinger.

11:53 am: Anderson gets the first wicket of the day, getting McDonald plumb in front of the wicket off a yorker.
McDonald b. Anderson 20

12:12 pm: Well that was surprising, Hauritz send the ball flying over the midwicket boundary, 6 and Broad isn't happy.

Lunch: Australia are 415/8
Current Batsmen: Hauritz (39*), Lee (16*)

2:43 pm: Hauritz goes to 50, his first in his test match career

2:44 pm: Well Hauritz doesn't survive any longer, even though that was a hard decision to give hitting the top of middle stump and hitting him about a millimetre in line while playing a shot but Anderson gets his fifth.
Hauritz LBW b. Anderson 50

2:48 pm: Broad gets his third wicket and Australia are all out but could have been a lot quicker if Hauritz and Lee didn't bat well.
Lee b. Broad 42

End Of Australia's Innings:

Summary:
Australia: 454 all out
Ponting: 152: Hussey: 115
Anderson: 5/119: Broad: 3/103

3:23 pm: Lee strikes early and Cook is out.
Cook c. Ponting b. Lee 3

3:42 pm: Well Lee is going well so far and England aren't playing well again.
Pietersen LBW b. Lee 4

Tea: England are 28/2
Current Batsman: Bell (11*), Strauss (8*)

5:38 pm: The big wicket of Strauss, caught by Hussey off the bowling of Hauritz, oh wait. It's a no ball, Strauss is lucky.

6:20 pm: Well theres a wicket with only 10 minutes to go in the day.
Bell LBW b. Hauritz 46

6:28 pm: Well that shows that you really have to keep concentration, Strauss goes in the last over of the day.
Strauss c. Haddin b. Hauritz 46

End Of Day 2:
England: 109/4
Strauss: 46: Bell: 46
Hauritz: 2/23: Lee: 2/39

Days Play:
England should have cleaned up the Australian tail quickly but couldn't and they conceded a lot more runs than they should have. Australia got off to a good start with 2 quick wickets but then it was all England. Strauss and Bell started to lose concentration and it cost them with their wickets in the last ten minutes of the day. Australia I would say are on top at the moment.

Day 3:

England are in trouble here, losing 2 wickets late in the day to have them 4 down. Lee and Hauritz have already picked up 2 wickets each.

1:01 pm: Well theres a big wicket before lunch.
Prior c. Clarke b. Hauritz 47

Lunch: England are 212/5
Current Batsmen: Bopara (56*), Flintoff (1*)

2:12 pm: Katich gets a big wicket, Australia do have the option to take the new ball but just sticking with the spinners at the moment.
Flintoff LBW b. Katich 7

2:22 pm: Well Katich needs to bowl more in test cricket, thats his second and Australia are into the tail.
Bopara LBW b. Katich 75

2:37 pm: Bollinger strikes with the new balls and Broad is out.
Broad LBW b. Bollinger 7

2:59 pm: Bollinger gets his second and England are well behind.
Onions b. Bollinger 6

3:31 pm: Hauritz gets the final wicket, England all out for 301.
Sidebottom LBW b. Hauritz 39

End Of Englands Innings:

Summary:
England: 301 all out
Bopara: 75: Prior: 47
Hauritz: 4/109: Katich: 2/28

Tea: Australia are 4/0
Current Batsman: Hughes (2*), Katich (2*)

6:20 pm: Katich goes through to 50. It hasn't been the best series for him so far.

6:28 pm: Hughes and Katich are making a strong partnership, Hughes going through to 50.

End Of Day 3:
Australia: 117/0
Katich: 58*: Hughes: 51*

Days Play:
Australia are well in front after the third day. The tail wagged for England to avoid the follow on but a nice opening partnership from Hughes and Katich put Australia in a dominate position. Katich also bowled well in England's innings. He really has to bowl more I reckon.

Katich and Dougie both did good to get 2 wickets in quick succession and Hauritz had another great innings with the ball, and Hughes and Katman started the innings off well. Good stuff mate, kiu!

Day 4:

Australia have a big lead in this match so far. Katich and Hughes are batting well and will have to keep it up to give Australia a very good total.

12:12 pm: Hughes goes 2 short of 3 figures, Onions bowling a nice delivery wrapping him on the pads and the umpire gave it out.
Hughes LBW b. Onions 98

Lunch: Australia are 230/1
Current Batsman: Katich (87*), Ponting (36*)

2:02 pm: Katich is the second man to go in the 90's and Anderson picks up the important wicket.
Katich LBW b. Anderson 95

2:24 pm: Swinging delivey from Anderson beats Hussey and the team goes up for LBW and it's given.
Hussey LBW b. Anderson 11

3:11 pm: Good delivery from Broad and another LBW. The big man, Ponting goes.
Ponting LBW b. Broad 78

Tea: Australia are 342/4
Current Batsman: Clarke (36*), North (14*)

4:10 pm: North goes first ball after tea and Sidebottom strikes.
North b. Sidebottom 14

4:29 pm: Sidebottom gets his second and the keeper Haddin is out.
Haddin c. Prior b. Sidebottom 9

4:45 pm: Clarke goes to 50, now will he be able to get a century.

5:44 pm: Onions gets the wicket of McDonald, his second wicket of the day.
McDonald b. Onions 26

5:50 pm: Hauritz is out, Australia should be close to declaring well over 500 in front.

Australia: 428/8 dec.

Day 5:

England have no chance of winning needing 577 to win. Australia will want to attack the England batsman and win the final test.

11:18 am: Well thats what you call swing, Bollinger with a delivery swinging back a mile into the left hander gets Cook plumb LBW.
Cook LBW b. Bollinger 5

Lunch: England are 110/1
Current Batsman: Pietersen (59*), Strauss (40*)

2:10 pm: Bollinger gets his second wicket but the game looks like it will be drawn.
Pietersen c. Hughes b. Bollinger 79

3:23 pm: McDonald gets his first Ashes wicket and its a big one.
Strauss c. Ponting b. McDonald 90

3:37 pm: Hauritz gets his first wicket and Bell is out.
Bell b. Hauritz 35

Tea: England are 225/4
Current Batsman: Bopara (7*), Prior (3*)

4:49 pm: Hauritz is getting the ball to turn a mile out there, still no more wickets for him though.

5:57 pm: Bopara is out and Bollinger gets his third wicket.
Bopara b. Bollinger 62

6:01 pm: Hauritz gets his second wicket late in the day but its not going to do much.
Prior c. Clarke b. Hauritz 52

End Of Day 5 and Englands Innings:

Summary:
England: 339/6
Strauss: 90: Pietersen: 79
Bollinger: 3/65: Hauritz: 2/107

Full Match Summary:
5th_Test.jpg

Match Report:
A draw in the end, Australia just leaving the declaration a liitle too late and only managed 6 wickets. Bollinger was good with the ball taking 5 wickets in the match. Ritzy bowled well again, not as well in the second innings though. Ponting was given man of the match after scoring 150, a nice batting performance from him. Only Anderson was a standout bowler for England taking a fiver. Australia win the series 2-0 but could have won it by more. The ODI series will also be a close one.
