Height has nothing to do with pace. It's okay if you want to justify your pick because Garner was really really good but he was a 130ish bowler. What made him potent was extra bounce and Yorkers.

Not taking anything away from him as a bowler but you are trying to associate something that he did not posses. It's like saying Shaun Pollock was terrifying to face and he wasn't a medium Pacer either which is true but not because of his pace.

There goes my pick.
Fair enough :thumbs

When can I pick

:pak: :bwl: Saeed Ajmal
2009 Twenty20 World Cup Winner

Ajmal was one of those rare finger spinners who had a lot of variations up his sleeve. He was a wicket poacher as well as a run blocker together built in one. Probably that's why he is the fourth highest wicket taker in WT20s.

I am still dealing with fever but a tad better. Here is where the things stand as of now,
@icyman is the next to pick, meanwhile,
@Viper. has two outstanding picks &
@noducksallowed has one outstanding pick

*Since @Viper. has missed two consecutive picks, until he returns to make his picks, everyone can skip him and directly make the next pick till then to save us all some time.

Great pick! One of the best 21st century spinners.

And I'll make my pick now then:

The king of the yorker, Umar "Crush Ya Toes!" Gul...one of the most underrated LO pace bowlers of the late 00s and early 10s. He was pretty good in ODI world cups but just phenomenal in the world t20s, with his only real competition being the slinga himself.

First up of my 2 picks is one of the best finishers in ODI history-

1702293817724.png

Averaging 50+ in ODIs, Michael Bevan, from the 2003 WC winning team, is one of Australia's contenders for a spot in their All-Time ODI XI

Next up is an unorthodox one and it will not be a proxy either

1702293968367.png

James Anderson, from the 2010 World Twenty20 Winning Team, makes the side based on his Test Record. Undoubtedly one of the best Test Careers for a fast bowler, and a bonus, he can be in my draft team even in 2050, as a 70 year old.

Brilliant pick. He was phenomenal in T20s.

Sir Anderson Montgomery Everton Roberts

Andy Roberts-Part of the great West Indian side that won the double if 1975 & 1979. 26 wickets in 3 editions and made a fiery combo alongside some of the other greats!

Brad Hogg please. He was a beast in World Cups. Picked up 34 wickets @ just 19. I genuinely believe we have one of the best sides in this draft so far.

My next pick has to be an opener and one of the great ones in world cups, Mark "Put Some Respekt On Ma Name" Waugh

Damn you @noducksallowed He was going to be my next pick! :notimpressed:

Nevertheless,a brilliant choice seeing as Waugh was uber brilliant in India 96'. Difficult to score as many tons in an edition, that too on vile subcontinental wickets.

Kevin Pietersen

FormatMatchesRunsAvgBest
WT201558044.6179
World Cup1357547.91104

I could basically select him purely on the basis of his WT20 exploits in the Caribbean where he was the Man of the Series. Somehow, doesn't get the accolades due to the fact that he was in a weaker English setup + playing like 4 games in CWC 2011.
