Bowledhim.jpg

Mohammad Ali: Welcome to Bowled him. The Show where we analyze the team and individual performances. We have a fantastic show for you today and to help me out I've got my trusted friend Ian Knight.

Ian Knight: Thank you Mohammad. Yes folks, we have a special show for you guys today. One filled with much entertainment. You will see us use the latest technology to analyze the player's performance. But first off we'll start off with the Average chart.

Stats.jpg

Ian Knight:
Well, each team has played 6 games so let's see who's been most consistent with the ball and the bat in their hands. Well, Shahbaz's fantastic form places him at number 2 on the list averaging above 100. Nisar and Shorey are also on the list at 6 and 7 respectively. The bowling has been led by Mahmood who is in number 5 in the rankings. But the way that Burn is going it won't be too long before he is up there with him.

Mohammad Ali: Shahbaz has been in terrific form lately and in his last game, it was no different. Shahbaz made a terrific score of 116*. Here is his wagon Wheel.

Yellow= 4 Runs
Blue= 3 Runs
Red= 2 Runs
Black= Dot Ball

Mohammad Ali: It's been a fantastic performance from Shahbaz. He has played all the shots in the book. Really there hasn't been a bowler who can get him out this season.

Ian Knight: Also he is a great asset behind the stumps. He has gotten 19 catches and 2 stumpings from his 6 games. Incredible stuff!

Mohammad Ali: Just a week ago The Falcons had spent 500k on a back-up bowler. People were just puzzled with the decision! But once again the eye of Zohaib Ahmed has caught something very good.

Ian Knight:
Infact Mohammad, weren't you the one criticizing him for the buy?

Mohammad Ali: Haha.. Yes I was.. But for once I was wrong.

Ian Knight: For Once? :p Anyways, Jason Burn was the recently bought player. And he has preformed tremendously well in his first two matches. Picking up 8 wickets including a 5er!

Mohammad Ali: Burn bowled really well. He bowled in those right into the good area. Terrific bowling!

Welcome to today's show about the beautiful game! Tonight we are going to discuss what you look for in a young or old bowler. Without bowlers our team's wouldn't get too far. But what makes a good bowler? Well, It's just not their primary bowling skill. An Ideal 5th or 6th bowler has to be one with good consistency. You will find that bowlers with more consistency go for less runs opposed to bowlers with less consistency. A bowler who has Superb bowling, but woeful consistency will get you 2 wickets in a game but it's not worth it when they go for 80+ runs. Thinking the bowler is only going to bowl 10 overs so he doesn't need good consistency is wrong. The bowler will 80% of the time go for more than 60 runs. Consistency is becoming even more important with the FC games being introduced to the system. So to all the manager's out there:

When you go shopping for a bowler. Make sure that the bowler has more than competent consistency. Remember, Primary skills don' mean everything. A player should be balanced on both ends.

Join us next time on "Tips for the beautiful game"!

That's definitely a good tip, explains why my bowlers haven't been going too well with their feeble consistency!

Hi! And Welcome to Manager Talk, where we get the answers out of the Falcon's Manager, Zohaib Ahmed. First of all, Good Afternoon Zohaib.
ZA: Good Afternoon to all the fans!

This week has been a good one for you. 2 wins against 2 good teams. What was the secret?
ZA: It's a simple game. That is if your player's know how to hold a bat, and how to bowl the ball. We followed simple tactics which in the end came out as fantastic results!

You've been criticized by many on the amount of money you spend. What are your thoughts.
ZA: Well, When we have about a million in the bank and we get 250-275k each home game. It's fantastic to know, that if I spend say 1 million, I should have it back by 5 home games! We've worked hard on the foundation of the club, now I think its time for us to expand and bring entertainment to the crowd.

Any players you are tracking at the moment?
ZA: Yeah. I am. Another great talented fast bowler. But I won't get into much detail about that just yet. We're still bidding for him.

How has Jason Burn influenced your thoughts?
ZA: Well, Jason was suppose to be a back-up. I never really thought that he could fit in so well. He has impressed me, and given me a lot more choices when it comes to the bowling part.

What about Kilgallon? He hasn't done much wrong with the ball either this season. He averages 21.34 and has over 100 wickets.
ZA: Brad is an all-rounder. He is very consistent indeed. But his spot isn't quite fixed yet as a bowler.

Well. It was good talking to you sir. Remember folks, if you have any questions for Zohaib Ahmed, you can post them up, and we'll ask him on our next show! That's all for now! Have a great evening!

I missed it :p

Very interesting reading the managers thoughts.

Mr. Manager, could you tell us how many members your club has and also how you have apportioned your stadium seats?

Half way mark of the season, and still the number 1 spot is wide open for the Falcons. But in this situation, every game counts. So this is a must-win for the Falcons. But it won't be an easy game. Uzair United are a tough team to beat, but they aren't on the winning lane recently. Compare their ratings to the Falcons ratings from the previous game:
Code:
  	         Uzair United  	   The Falcons
Top Order: 	strong 	              strong
Middle Order: 	mediocre 	      mediocre
Lower Order: 	worthless 	      worthless
Seam Bowling: 	proficient 	      proficient
Spin Bowling: 	competent 	      competent
Fielding: 	competent             competent

From this, the 2 teams are even! But the Falcons have surprised many, by winning against teams with ratings far ahead of their own. The ratings though might be uneven because the Falcon's lower order has gotten only got to bat 3 times this season! There is every possibility of this match going to the last ball.
