Round 3

The Gamble

#1
The First person who is going to try their luck is @ahmedleo414 ...
The player he is willing to risk is..

:ire: :bat: James Shannon

Will he get a better player, or will he end up with a person fit to be a "Panesar" in any layer draft?

Let's spin the wheel...

Ijaz Ahmed

Statistics

ODIs:- 6564 runs @ 32.33 (10 100s , Best 139*) in 250 Matches
List A:- 10037 runs @ 33.01 (16 100s, Best 139*) in 371 Matches

Luck favours him as he ends up with a much much better player. Ijaz was a dependable player for Pakistan for a long time. While his stance was weird, it was effective to the utmost. Definitely a great addition to the team

Ouch... A non-batting, non- bowling "bowler"...

And kids, that's why you don't indulge in gambling :p

Will he get a better player, or will he end up with a person fit to be a "Panesar" in any layer draft?

Let's spin the wheel...

List A:- 424 runs @ 13.67 (Best 54) in 54 Matches

Upgrade? Or maybe not. His situation doesn't change much as he gets another, Ray Julien-ish wicketkeeper...

Maybe I am biased, but I would take him over Julian any day of the week. The poor man failed to achieve his potential due to multiple personal tragedies but was good enough for to play for India on his day and was without any doubt robbed from cricket.

Round 3

The Gamble

#5
The last person who'll try his luck is @Parth D ... He'll gamble...

:ind: :ar: Napoleon Einstein

A brave move risking a player having a List A average of 45.
Will he get a better player, or will he end up with a person fit to be a "Panesar" in any layer draft?

Let's spin the wheel...

Boeta Dippenaar

Statistics

List A:- 7637 Runs @ 39.56 (8 100s, Best 125*) in 246 matches
ODIs:- 3421 runs @ 42.23 (4 100s, Best 125*) in 107 matches

Damn! Damn! Damn! What a gamble! Napoleon Einstein is replaced by Boeta Dippenaar. A batsman very pleasing to the eye. Boeta Dippenaar's best moment in his career was the One-Day series against WI in 2005 when he ended up with an average of more than 100.

In First Class cricket, he was good enough to have an average of 30 odd which is a good average considering, he was the wicket keeper. Definitely a better batsman than Julien who couldn't even bat in First Class
