The PlanetCricket Battrick Sledging Thread

Ive got a cup game against Bengal Cats. Ive signed a new spinning allrounder and should really boost my squad.

What's everyone's Youth Pull like today? I already pulled mine with ITS so that I could train him before 10 pm, UK time. My first ever YP with ITS sold for ?500,000. My second one:

Darren Allardyce - 17 yo, BT Rating=4,869
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
An attacking player with mediocre leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: respectable Concentration: feeble
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: worthless

Not bad!

Well, Spin, console yourself by saying that you'd have got knocked out in the first round even if you did play.
Thats not a nice thing to say(although it's true ;) )

P.S I am playing my cup match against ISLAM RULZ...
Should win it...

Dunno, probably getting on for ?100,000.

Heres mine:

Bill Stiles - 17 yo, BT Rating=4,520
RH Batsman, LM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A steady player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: woeful
Bowling: feeble Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: abysmal

30 ITS, but a bit of training and I'll have a cracking all-rounder!

Did you train yours today? See, I pulled mine after the daily update so that I could train him this week. So, my guy has an extra two batting nets added on.

Ah, alright. I'm going to keep mine. This guy is getting sold for ?100,000 odd:

Hayden Burnip - 19 yo, BT Rating=6,289
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
An attacking player with competent leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: respectable Concentration: woeful
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: woeful
Fielding: mediocre

So, my Youth pull will take his place at No.6. The only problem is his lack of fielding, otherwise an excellent YP.

Mine will need a bit of work, but at only 17 he has the potential to become quite a player. That'll give me 3 good all-rounders. In order, atm:

Caleb Fieldwick - 22 yo, BT Rating=13,107
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A defensive player with abysmal leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: competent Concentration: respectable
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: proficient
Fielding: mediocre

Thomas Griffin - 19 yo, BT Rating=6,542
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A steady player with worthless leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: mediocre Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: competent

Bill Stiles - 17 yo, BT Rating=5,197
RH Batsman, LM Bowler, proficient batting form, respectable bowling form, fair
A steady player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: woeful
Bowling: feeble Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: abysmal

Playing all my batsmen, these 3 and Otto and Hemmings (my two best pure bowlers) I'm going to have 1 hell of a batting line up!

How about this guy for an allrounder:

Derek Hoult - 18 yo, BT Rating=11,274
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, invigorated
An attacking player with abysmal leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: strong Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: respectable Consistency: competent
Fielding: woeful
That's right, he's real :).

If he's good than he must play good against any kind of opposition...know what i mean...

bilal i see your point

but think about (sorry to use a football analogy)

chris greenacre (tranmere rovers striker) has performed wuite well for tranmere this season, scored several goals,

but he wouldnt score near as many in the prem, just because he wouldnt be good in the prem doesnt mean he couldnt do a job at lower leagues

(could use john stead as an example, did well for huddersfield then failed at blackburn and sunderland)

Well, he plays in a league full of 'quality' and even 'wonderful' bowlers (which I doubt you've had in your league) , and I do think he was a bit unfortunate at times. Plus, he's got better with training, so hopefully he'll be in the league averages this season.
