Tournment Ends

mishra better buy khan a drink tonight.

trailing by 200 and with none of their best batsmen to come these two can't go nuts, but if khan hadn't got Dilshan then mishra would be going for sixes and fours right now.

I reckon Sree would have been a better option than one of these spinners. Economies of 4 and 5 in a Test Match really aren't good enough if you're not taking wickets.

They`ve been giving away a boundary virtually every other over. I see no reason why Dhoni should be continuing with them bowling this crap in tandem. Bring back Ishant or Zaheer before its too late or you have a 250 partnership staring at your face here.

Sehwag is a better attacking option than that overrated Harbhajan Singh.

There's only 11 overs or so remaining in the day as well. I don't see why Dhoni isn't giving them a quick burst.

His captaincy has started becoming a drag these days. Its time he shows the guts to drop one spinner. And even with just under 10 overs left for stumps, he still allows the game to drift and continues with the spinners. It makes absolutely no sense other than him bowling them to improve the over rate.

And he brings back Yuvraj. Looks like they`ve settled for a draw already. Games like these are killing test cricket. Its commonsense that Sri Lanka play spin a lot better than pace and such mediocre limited overs spin bowling would not have any impact on them but he still persists with spin.

Ishant bowls a fairly good over and Dhoni takes him off, and to make it worse he brings Harbhajan back on. :facepalm

Can you really imagine those two going nuts? I think their definition of a wild time would be to bat through two or three more sessions.

no, that's why I thought Mishra is lucky Dilsh was gone.

if they reach them, samaraweera will bring up his ton in 200 balls, jayawardene about 180. it will be that predictable.

mate , me a desi too . Currently in us . When did i say that i am an aussie? Pull your head out of the arse .

I have read this line thrice now in two days. Could you please stop using that? We all know where our heads are.

Dhoni FTW. As captain, he really needs to take more responsibility and bat higher up the order. He's definitely the best batsman in the team bar Tendulkar, and now he's become the most consistent.

But the top order is packed. He could have batted above Laxman but still when we were 31/3, Laxman was a better option because he has more experience than Dhoni and Yuvraj in test cricket.

Great day for Sri Lanka! On this wicket, the new ball only makes things tough for a batsman and also a special spell is needed to get the batsmen out. We definitely needed Dravid to kick on for some more time so that we got 450-500. Now if Sri Lanka get a lead of 50+, it will become really tough for us because if the pitch becomes more helpful for spin as the game goes on, Murali and Herath will absolutely love it. Murali already started getting into that rhythm with the two wickets in the morning.

One of the funniest things i've read in a long time. Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, RAHUL DRAVID, Laxman are all far, far better than MS Dhoni with the bat.

And as for your sig, I know all you Australians remember the 180 in Kolkatta and, of course, his amazing 233 in Adelaide. So yes, he is VERY GOOD, easily amongst the top 5 batsman of the era.

All these new guys havent been around when Dravid used to play the classic innings against opposition while the team is in the dumps. He has been inevitably the "go-to" man when we need to rise back from the dumps.

Great knock by Dilshan, consistent and aggressive two very good attributes. SL batting is a bit short with them taking a specialist keeper so one break through could be all thats needed for India to spark the collapse.
