If the last match is anything to go by, it should be a spinfest. 3rd Test: India v South Africa at Kanpur, Apr 11-13, 2008 | Cricket Scorecard | Cricinfo.com
i just hope next game will playing on grassy pitch....
I am guessing that Kanpur will play to its potential (a spinfest as Leggie said). I am not sure about Mumbai because it will be played at Bradbourne stadium and not DY Patil. I think that one will also be a slow and low pitch.
Some dilligence by the curator would do the job. What would it take to make an Indian pitch a seaming one?
What would it take to make an Indian pitch a seaming one? Is it even possible or does the soil composition just not allow it?
I don't think so.... More games should be played at Wankhede, although this would be bad for TV revenue :sarcasm
Because as far as I know, test matches at the Wankhede seem to finish quick. The 2004 Test Match between India and Australia finished in two days, and Shane Warne wasn't even playing!!Why on earth is Kanpur still a Test venue ? I thought they were under fire for producing a sub-standard pitch against the Proteas.
Actually the stadium still stays more due to BCCI politics than anything else, its not worth being a venue et all.
How would playing at Wankhede be bad for the TV guys ?
Anyways, you won't be having a Test at the Wankhede till 2011 atleast cause the stadium is uner enovation as of now.
Pictures speak louder than wordsAnymore off topic posting will result in immediate infractions. What I found bizarre is that there wasn't even any arguments in this forum until people starting posting pictures.
