Trans-Tasman Trophy (NZ in Australia), December 2011/12

I'd really like for Boult to play tbh, the bowling simply wasn't good enough in the first game and I think we could really use some variation. He'd be unlucky but I'd probably drop Bracewell. Martin was the best bowler and I guess you can't really drop Southee even though he was probably the worst of our attack.

Pitch looks a bit green for tomorrow's test.

Vettori out so the other NZ batters have to stand up else this could be ugly. Siddle sure has stepped up his game since Johnson and Harris left.

This pitch is crazy, definitely one of the greenest I've seen. Exactly what we didn't need after the last match was batting first on this..

Sometimes the grass is the only thing going for Bellerive. The Gabba last week was interesting on the third day through just being quick. I don't feel like Hobart has that quality.

This is how test cricket should be played. I've given up on New Zealand, I'm just enjoying watching some good cricket.

In saying that McCullum's actually been playing alright so far.

Someone must have been in McCullum's ear, he's been outscored by the number 5.
Starc pace has been disappointing but he has kept it tight although it appears he's bowled pretty averagely.

Geez, this pitch has been doctored to the extreme. If this lasts 5 days Ill be very suprised.

If Australia lost the toss, Australia would of been in trouble... Hughes and Warner. What a deadly opening combo.. :s

Starc.. What a spud. Wicket down the leg side. So cheap. Dont New Zealand have any quality batsman capable of just blocking these pies out? Pattinson and Starc arent international quality cricketers!

Now Brownlie.. former WA grade cricketer. And probably their in form batsman. :p

Oh well, I'm looking forward to seeing Boult bowling on this wicket anyway.
