Transmission Closes Down

Wow, you are satisfied! That is something. Hopefully you are back to feeding milk from baby bottle!

Why is there so much hate in you. Just relax. it wouldnt hurt to be decent and mature sometime. i am saying this with good intentions.

Alioz, I did not say with any hate at all. Your bud has been carrying on like a little baby for a patch with no respect for anything else.

Thats his opinon so let it be....We all want a patch and we all feel sorry for TG. we should not blend the two emotions together. I have actually met rob and i really feel sorry for what has happened. He is a very nice guy. he discussed things with me which ofcourse i cant say anything about, but point is that TG staff are good people. And also i cant let go of the fact that i want the patch aswell. i have played with patch and beleive me you want one aswell. if someone says anything about having patch does not mean they dont respect TG. its just this that they want the patch. whoever, one should never say anything disrespectful towards TG and always have sound logic behind there points and not just stupid comments.

I love this comedy.

Even though Punjabi Killa definitely started this recent argument.

Indeed, but definitely A Comedy of Errors! (Darn! I forgot to avoid this thread; makes mental note; keep note of mental notes!)

If people can't behave in a mature and adult manner without insulting other members, infractions will be handed out. Consider this a final warning which applies to all threads relating to the patch in the AC09 forum.

At last! Thank you! It was turning into the Codies forum for a while there!

Getting back on topic, really sad news this and it's just highlights the problems going on round the world this last 18 months or so as the games industry is suffering too. Lets hope the developers of AC 2009 get snapped up by another company as this in my honest opinion is the best Cricket game yet and it's would be sad to see a major opportunity wasted.

As for the future of Cricket games given the end of Transmission games, where do we look for the next Cricket game? well to be honest stick with AC2009 and edit teams, rosters and faces :clap I think the community are too quick to look forward and say when's the next game when they've just got this one, AC2009 is only 6 months old surely theres 2 years playing time in this, I played EA Cricket's 2002/2005 & 2007 plus BLIC 05 for ages as there wasn't really a decent alternative in between.

I guess where to look is that there is that Trine games Cricket if thats still on the cards or maybe Cricket Revolution maybe a good opportunity to badger the devolpers to include Test Matches and solo play it does'nt look a bad game at all and then again HB Studios may have their ear to the ground on the happenings at Transmission then who knows.....

The next year or so maybe interesting then maybe there will be another Cricket game drought, one thing for sure there is certainly a market for Cricket Sims.

I can still imagine Codemasters, the publishers, wanting to produce a sequel to Ashes 09 as it was financially successful and the failure of Transmission wasn't necessarily a reflection on the commercial success of it.

Well, I hope and indeed most here hope you are right, it is a decent game I love it!! and it's a real pity that things went the way they did.

Weren't HB Studios responsible for all the awful EA Cricket games though?

Yes they were. Not actually sure they're doing another one.

I think the TG people were the driving force behind the patch - from experience of previous Codies games they respond to nothing. Can't see any action by them so it is where it is.

what if TG guys are picked up by EA to produce another cricket game?
