Getting back on topic, really sad news this and it's just highlights the problems going on round the world this last 18 months or so as the games industry is suffering too. Lets hope the developers of AC 2009 get snapped up by another company as this in my honest opinion is the best Cricket game yet and it's would be sad to see a major opportunity wasted.
As for the future of Cricket games given the end of Transmission games, where do we look for the next Cricket game? well to be honest stick with AC2009 and edit teams, rosters and faces
I think the community are too quick to look forward and say when's the next game when they've just got this one, AC2009 is only 6 months old surely theres 2 years playing time in this, I played EA Cricket's 2002/2005 & 2007 plus BLIC 05 for ages as there wasn't really a decent alternative in between.
I guess where to look is that there is that Trine games Cricket if thats still on the cards or maybe Cricket Revolution maybe a good opportunity to badger the devolpers to include Test Matches and solo play it does'nt look a bad game at all and then again HB Studios may have their ear to the ground on the happenings at Transmission then who knows.....
The next year or so maybe interesting then maybe there will be another Cricket game drought, one thing for sure there is certainly a market for Cricket Sims.
