India still at no. 2 spot, hardly matters, what actually matters that Australia are not no.1 :D

We won! Sachin! :banana2

I guess we should play Kohli instead of Dravid who was looking horrible with the bat.

Tendulkar and Raina played well. Raina still needs to work out the short ball though.

Malinga will destroy us if Dravid is not there. Dinesh Karthik is an easy wicket at the top. If Dravid is not there, Malinga, Kulasekara and the likes will easily penetrate through. Thats not going to happen

I don't know why everyone's having a dig at Dravid. He played according to the situation - He stabilized our innings. Also the pitch, as showed, was not easy for scoring. I'm sure he would've taken a different approach had he come in batting in the first innings.

Really? In news, it was told that India will be no.1 if they all 3 matches.

Right now we are No.1 but it would be better if we can see that after the series ends, because a single defeat will make us lose the spot very soon.

Well done India. I'm glad we didn't make the final because we've been poor all tour and frankly don't deserve it.

I could go on a rant right now but I really don't care. I think our coach is hopeless and some of the top order needs to start showing some balls and taking responsibility. When you say the batting side wins you expect that they don't bat crap like we did. Losing wickets to Yuvraj is a disgrace. Another 50 runs would have put the scoring pressure on India and they wouldn't have been able to block so much and keep the likes of Bond, Mills and Vettori quiet.

And I stand by what I said about the pitch, it's rubbish. High scorers are more interesting to watch. If I wanted to watch batsmen trying to survive conditions i'd watch test cricket.

Frankly our side is a bunch of tweaking losers aside from Bond and Vettori and I could do better then most of them.

@ irottev: I agree with you. The pitch at Premadasa has been downright pathetic. Poor poor advertisement for ODI cricket which is facing lot of criticism and possible tinkering of the format. Regarding NZ, the batting doesnt possess the class of people like Cairns or Craig McMillan.

Craig McMillan.

Hes still only 32 thats the sad part. :(

What anoys me more than anything is we do the hard work to get in then they throw it away. It is just not good enough.

I keep going on about it and all the other kiwi's are probably sick of me saying it but drop Oram and bring in Franklin. Franklin has proven many times he can stick around with his huge hundreds domesticly and has a good head on his shoulders it will also show to the other guys in the team they are not scared to drop a veteran like Oram.

Taylor, Ryder and McCullum have all been terrible as well but at least they the former two have done somthing for the country recently the latter is just lucky he is the keeper and needs to step up. If I was him I wouldn't let Young, McGlashan and Hopkins anywhere near the gloves.

Sadly this team is similar to the one going to the CT so expect a first round exit there. Anything better than that is a lucky bonus.

SL is definitely tough side to beat at home, lets see how India tackles it... India need good opening pair for that matter, because Malinga and co are bowling well....

I'm hoping Virat gets a go in this game since we're already through to the final.
