Tutsi's A.I. Patch v6.0

i dunno.....i havnt faced this problem till now. but still will alter some values to see if it makes any difference.

version 1.0 is offline now. try v1.1. or u can wait for 1.2 which will be out soon.

which cover drive.....backfoot or frontfoot?

Patch update :

1. Tweaked a value which i kindda overlooked earlier, havnt testing it yet but i'm sure its gonna make a diff. in the batting difficulty.

EDIT: Tested it...and i'm very happy wth the results. Now i can score freely by timing the ball and can hit the occassional 4 or 6 to get the runrate up. U'll all will be ahppy with it.

2. Also tweaked a value to fix the batsman leaving ball on stump and getting bowled or lbw. again havnt tested it yet.

Hi

Is this in the v 1.1 patch on the first post? Found the original v1.1 patch a bit too hard to score.

Cheers for all your help!

Hi mate thanks for the patch.

I also now removed it, it is not that i don't like it, but it has made some things more anoying for me, i am all for making batting harder and requiring better timing etc. But the ability not to move the batsmen in the crease and making the hitting zone smaller is making batting almost impossible.

On easy you can move the batsman for a split second and that makes all the differance, but then on easy the damn AI decides whether you play a front foot or back foot shot and it is driving me damn mad so easy is not an option.

If there is any way to enable moving in the crease on normal and hard difficulty i would be so happy. For those who think it is not realistic etc. at first i also thought it is a nice option and realistic, but after playing this game for a while now we really need to move the batsman to make small adjustments, because in real life you can make final adjustments with your hands and body to hit the ball. In this game you have to guess where the ball is going and then you can't move again so if you guessed wrong you will miss the ball and this is now a big problem with the patches, because if you are not near the ball you WILL miss it.

yep im hoping on that way too so you can move around on medium mode

great patch.. havent really tested out bowling..but from batting..the only problem i think is that with this patch you HAVE to play one shot to a certain ball..for example if your standing outside leg and the ball is a yorker on off stump..the batsmen will defend the leg stump and will get bowled..same is the case if you want to play a straight drive and the ball is too close..itl go through bat and pad..this is pretty realistic but makes batting very hard..if you could get rid of that it would be great.. like if your a littel away from the ball, the batsman automatically moves into position to play teh shot..just like it was originally..

Good one Tutsi....... just tried V1.1, only bowling so far.

I only had to run the bowling cursor straight down in front
of the batsmans feet before, and restrict them to 2.X an
over. Felt like giving up on the game!!!

Wow!!!!!..Just got hit for 43 off 6 overs trying the same thing
after 1.1. May have to earn my wickets after all.

This game might be really something after all. :happy

A problem I have found is, when batting with a left-hander, the CPU will often bowl leg stump yorkers. When i press S to defend these, the bat misses the ball and I'm given out LBW. Is it possible to get the computer to move the batsman into position for some shots but not for others?

Tutsi i'm finding the front foot cover drives have enough power if timed properly, however they seem to get too much air and get caught a lot. backfoot straight drives are the ones that just pop back to the bowler. run down to third man shots have no power, also the front foot square cut seems to just drop down close to the batsman.

It seems during the middle overs against spinners its really hard to score. Also there is way to many full or yorker balls being bowled by the cpu, which means we're forced to play straight a lot of the time.

ok man....i'm gonna look into all tht u said.

man, i've tried to maintain some kind of realism while making batting easy.

u can try some other strokes like leg glance for this particular yorker. maybe i'll find it easy with my upcomming 1.2 patch.

Don't think the patch has made the game more difficult, but I find that either playing defensively of playing straight down the ground, that the batter sometimes goes back to quite a full delivery resulting in the ball going under the bat.

then either ur playing on EASY mode. if yes, then switch to NORMAL coz the slection of backfoot-frontfoot shot by the cpu on EASY is BAD.

OR, ur using backfoot shots for balls which are not really tht short. while using backfoot shots, keep in mind the pitch type.....bonce...etc.

Thanks Tutsi

Again, I'd like to highlight that I love your patch, am I merely suggesting improvements, not complaining.

Can't wait for v1.2 to be released:D

Tutsi, overall your patch is superb.I love more swing and speed and leads towards more fun.Tutsi, can you make pull shot bit easier? Also donot forget to check the issue that cpu often leaving full deliviries.

hey dude u certainly deserve a pat on the back
awesome work!!! keep it up!
ya and i was facing difficulty too in playing the pull shot on short pitch deliveries
kindly see to it

hey tutsi plzzz fix 2 issues...playing the ball to square leg get caught too often at square leg...secondly i take a leg stump guard to play some off side shots...any ball on off stump i dend but miss the line completely...always getting bowled...plzzz fix that

Hey guys can a patch be made so that when there is an lbw or a run out decision that requires the 3rd umpire the score board disapears until the decision is made. It is annoying already knowing the result before the decision. Good patch Tutsi I like it being hard makes it more realistic. Keep up the good work. ;)
