Vitality Blast

To be fair, we've done pretty well considering we've been a one man team for the last couple of games. :p

None of the batsmen seem to be in form and I have no idea why Thomas is saving himself to bowl so many overs at the end when we're getting absolutely pasted around the park in the first 6. He needs to take some responsibility with the ball early in the innings.

Thrashing on it's way Friday evening by Hampshire unfortunately ;).

Feel a bit sorry for Northeast that his second consecutive match-winning T20 knock will be overshadowed by the Gayle Storm, but nobody except perhaps de Villiers could avoid that fate when Gayle gets going in a T20. I'd love to be a Somerset fan right now; Gayle scoring 243 runs at over 2 runs a ball in 2 matches is just staggering.

Sky televising a game every day from tomorrow through to Sunday with all England players except Wood and Anderson being available apparently :).

Anyone watching Yorks-Lancs? What. A. Game. Edge of my seat all the way through. Who says English cricket's boring?

Yes I watched it. A great game, I was certain Yorkshire would win until the last 2 overs. All the England players seemed in form too which is good.

Fidel Edwards looked to be a danger to the batsman when he was bowling tonight, some absolutely mental bowling. Shame it couldn't stop Chris Gayle after getting dropped on 34, brilliant atmosphere particularly when he hit the 6 to win the game.

Glamorgan v Somerset due to start in 15 minutes. I've got a bad feeling about playing against Meschede. :noway

Awful pitch with medium pacers moving it around like Shane Warne and some dodgy decisions does not make a good day for Somerset. :(

Sussex v Surrey at Arundel was abandoned today after Rory Burns and Moises Henriques were involved in a horrific collision that resulted in both of them losing consciousness for a period and being hospitalized. Reports are both are both as 'well' as they can be right now given what happened although it's rumored Henriques broke his jaw or had bad damage. All the best to them.

I can see why so many people are calling for a Franchise system. Looking at the T20 Blast tables, it's only Warwickshire of the Test match grounds that are doing well. People obviously want Franchise cricket so they can see the best players walking out at the likes of Lord's and Old Trafford, rather than those who are there currently and doing so poorly. :D

Ugh, done in by poor Umpiring today. No ball for height given and then checked when Trego was out, which was fair enough, but to then not check when Overton was cutting one from chin height is just so poor, when you have all the cameras at the ground.

Did anyone else see that knock from David Willey tonight against Sussex? Smashed it to all parts!

8.1
Yardy to Willey, SIX, comes round the wicket, on a length, middle and leg, gets down and sweeps it over the midwicket fence, gets to his fifty with a maximum

8.2
Yardy to Willey, FOUR, short and moving across, clears the front leg and hammers this away to wide of deep midwicket fence

8.3
Yardy to Willey, SIX, fullish outside off, gets down and slog-sweeps it over the wide of long-on fence

8.4
Yardy to Willey, SIX, comes over the wicket now, back of a length around the leg, pulls that nicely over the square leg fence

8.5
Yardy to Willey, SIX, fullish and outside off, moves across the stumps and dispatched it over the midwicket region once again, sheer power onto it!

8.6
Yardy to Willey, SIX, this time full toss around the off stump, moves across and then gets down and swung it nicely over the deep square leg fence, 34 runs of this Yardy's second over.

That four was only a few inches short of the rope as well.

He also went from 45 to 100 in 14 balls.

Really upset a great tournament isn't telecasted in my country
