Indian squad for the triangular in New Zealand

AJAY JADEJA COMES BACK TO THE INDIAN TEAM AFTER 5 YEARS!

Meanwhile, the Indian selectors have announced the 15 man squad for the triangular series in New Zealand, also featuring England. Jadeja has made a surprising comeback into the Indian team. He was banned in 2000 when he was linked along with Azharrudin, Nayan Mongia, Manoj Prabhakar and others in match fixing. But he has overturned his ban and is right now putting up impressive performances in domestic cricket! The other surprising inclusion here is Rohan Gavaskar, son of former Indian great opener, Sunil Gavaskar. The selectors deem him as a good ODI player who can score quick runs and can bowl a few overs too. Here is the squad

Indian Squad

Rahul Dravid (captain)
Virender Sehwag
Sachin Tendulkar
Yuvraj Singh
Mohammed Kaif
Ajay Jadeja
Rohan Gavaskar
Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Anil Kumble
Murali Kartik
Irfan Pathan
Ashish Nehra
Zaheer Khan
Ajit Agarkar
Lakshmipathy Balaji

For the first time since 2000, Jadeja is going to make an appearence in the Indian team. Except for Dravid, Sachin and Kumble, others are pretty new to him. So the atmosphere in the dressing room must not be too bad for him. But he should know that his former team mates will not look at him the same way they looked at him before!

Harbhajan Singh is rested for the ODI series as he asked for the rest! India are going in with five seamers as the pitches in NZ will support pace!

Also Saurav Ganguly will not take part in this series. Since he has 4 more matches to serve in his ban, he will have to take part only in the final (if India qualify). But the BCCI has announced that this is the final team for the ODI series and will be only changed if an injury or something happens. So, Ganguly will have to wait to see if he gets selected for the test matches!

Sai is it in ur story or really jadeja is coming back in to the team

Its in my story. I doubt if Jaddu bhai would come back to the Indian team. Since this series itself is a fantasy, I am also including fantasy elements like Jadeja coming back!

I have some surprises lined up after this New Zealand tour (as far as my stories are concerned!). Would reveal it later!

i got a confession i just started watching cricket when the last world cup i never watched it from before so i don't know who that is just want to know who he was for the indian team thanks

what? thats so sad you dont know the history of indian cricket. Ajay Jadeja was one of the topmost Indian ODI player in the 90's. He was a big star at that time especially in the 1996 World Cup when he hit Waqar Younis for 26 runs in an over in the quarterfinal against Pakistan. He is a brilliant fielder and a very good batsman. He is similar to Yuvraj in these ways - a part time bowler, good batsman, fast runner and a brilliant fielder!

Good to see Rohan Gavaskar back in the team. He is a pretty handy player to have in one day cricket.

Adidas Triangular Series: India - England - New Zealand

Adidas Sponsors Triangular Series

Adidas, one of the most popular footwear brands, have decided to sponsor the ODI triangular series between India - England - New Zealand to be held in New Zealand. Meanwhile, the telecast rights for this series has been given to Fox Sports and these matches will be telecast live on ESPN-Star Sports in India with Doordarshan also getting the live feed for non set up box users.

These matches will be a mixture of Day and Day/night games. India meets England at Dunedin in the first match of the series.

The Indian squad is scheduled to leave for New Zealand in the next three days. They will be assembling at New Delhi and will leave from thereon to New Zealand. Since John Wright has finished his term as a coach and no coach has been signed up by the BCCI, Sunil Gavaskar is now representing Wright as the temporary Indian coach!

The respective England and New Zealand squads will be announced shortly! Stay tuned!

Ha Ha.. Thanks..

After this tour of New Zealand, I am planning to play some classic ODI and test match tournaments as part of my story. Examples include Wills World Cup 1996, Coca Cola Cup Sharjah 1998, 1999 World Cup, 2003 World Cup, India vs Australia Test series 2001, Independence Cup Bangladesh (India won the final against Pakistan chasing 315!), etc. I will have a poll during the test series on which classic series to start with! I will also try to get the updated kits for that particular series (the same kits used at that time!). It should be lot of fun as it will revive the old memories of those classics

Jadeja is a good actor:D...did u see the movie he acted in(khel)
