West Indies in Australia

Of course not. I'm defending Clarke mediocreness (if thats a word) at test level, but the fact is Clarke has performed better that Katich, hence he shouldn't be the one going if one is to get the boot

I hope Collymore will play in the match. Collymore is like the McGrath of West Indies. I was hugely impressed by him when he played against Pakistan. And Edwards like the Lee of West Indies. He was bowling consistently with an average of 92-93 MPH in West Indies against Pakistan. But I would rather see Collymore playing then Edwards.

But I've read that West Indies had their strongest line up faced against Queensland, so I don't know they will give a chance or not.

Actually for me Australia should whitewash West Indies: it's off course Number 1 against Number 8.

"mediocrity"

Not true, Jermaine Lawson didn't play either, he's easily been the better performer.

What do you mean with mediocrity? They aren't as great as McGrath or Lee, but off course for West Indies they are. Edwards, especially has been plagued with too many injuries.

And I based my fact upon this:

West Indies, said Chanderpaul, will field a full-strength team for the opening match against the Queensland team, which has Australian Test players Matthew Hayden and Shane Watson.

But like you, I've got my doubts about if this really was the strongest team.

After the warm up match. I am thinking the West Indies could do pretty good.

Of course Hussey has been playing first class cricket all his life. To debut at 30 he is bound to have lots of runs.

I agree, it is interesting, someone so successful taking so long to make his debut. Usually, a player gets optioned to play a game or two early in his career as a replacement and then gets dropped when the original player is fit. Also it says a lot about how tough it is to make that Test squad (*cough* unless you're Shane Watson *cough*)

The main reason was that while he was scoring mountains of runs in England he was performing averagely over here in the Pura Cup, and hence never got a look in

Indeed, though he was unlucky not to make an Ashes tour

im scared,:p if he does well he better not replace, langer but instead the waste of time katich/clarke.

He will do very well, he has the determination to succeed, first australian in the past few years to be pick on form, not like clarke being picked 4 years to early, or watson cause he takes a few wicket and runs.
