West Indies in Australia

They already had the wake up call they needed. No more losing for me. :D What the Ashes has done is made everybody droppable maybe bar Ponting, McGrath, Clarke and Warne. All the rest know if they don't perform they will be shown the door. Clarke himself would be dropped if he kept having shockers.
CLARKE? YOU KIDDING HE DID NOT PERFORM AT ALL!!! god, lee langer, hayden were never in doubt, katich, clarke, martyn, gillespie, kasper were on the chopping block and should be dropped now.

The who do u think should come in the team? Who would be your picks?

Clarke won't be dropped, he is the future of Australian cricket. Langer still has a few lives. Lee wouldn't be in the side if Kaspa and Dizzy stayed in form. Hayden produced his career saving 100 or he too would have been dropped.

I would not consider any of those except Jaques, I don't see the sense in replacing oldish players with players around the same age. We don't need that.

Mark Waugh had a very similar start. And i'm sure there are heaps of other great players that had a good start but went into a lean patch. This doesn't mean they have past their prime.

I remember Steve Waugh went through a 1 1/2 year stage of hardly making runs but came back good for the last 2 or so years of his career.

but why waste a spot when he could be bashing around second string bowling attacks like he did today and get in form then come up, ajay, hussey needs a shot, his career for WA and county teams has been breathtaking, its so unlucky his been overshadowed by ponting/hayden/langer/martyn otherwise he would defintly be rated the best batsman in the world, he hasnt been able to show off his skills in test but he has in ODIs, as a sydney herald article said 'what does he have to do' he averages 123 been dismissed 3 times, average 80 odd in england where everyone else failed. he NEEDS to be in the team, it will be very disapointing to see hussey not play a match and a SR OF 94 WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?

Same will probably happen with Hayden. I would have liked to have seen Jaques introduced but now that Hayden has performed we will have to wait a while longer.

Thats the problem. He won't learn anything by bashing around these 2nd string attacks. He has to face the best and learn from that. Hussey has been unlucky and probably should have been in before Katich but the selectors went with Katich.

but when he faces the best in the world eg england, ROW he fails miserably, did i mention hussey has 10 overs to make his runs? god get him in and he can make huge scores

Same could be said for most of the Aussie batters that faced those 2 sides. All players learn, Hayden has changed his technique cause of England, Martyn changed his so that he could play spin better. You learn this by experiencing these problems first hand.

Clarke will do the same, he isn't rated Australia's next batting superstar for no reason.

dont see that quoted anywhere lately, he played 2 debut innings in home and away got 100, and now he throws away his wicket stupidly and throws away australias chance when they need him down the order. he isnt a number 4 or a 5 he doesnt perform when the pressures on!

Hey man, don't get me wrong, I believe alot of players deserve a place in the Aussie 11, and defiently Hussey. But it's time we look towards the future, and when we introduce these younger players we still need the support of the experienced players. It's just so hard to drop anyone from the team at the moment, but the selectors need to stamp there foot down and make a decision, get a stable 9 players, and try blood 2 young ones over summer, but what 2 players will go? It'll have to be 3 players gone if hussey comes into the team. We need atleast to try blood a batsman and bowler, we have Tait to come back in 3 months and we need to focus on him a bit, but who else can we blood as a bowler? As for a young batter we have a long list to choose from, very long, but in my opinion Jaques is the way to go, he has all the class needed to a attacking opener.

Same could be said about Gilly when he doesn't come off. That is just the way Clarke plays. When Clarke comes off people won't be talking about Clarke throwing his wicket away, they will be talking about how great his knock was.

The Kiwis have that theory too. :D They support anything Kiwi and who ever plays against Aus. I kinda of have this theory against NZ too. But thats just me, I don't know about other Aussies.

the kiwis only support whoever plays australia because they know that is their best shot at winning :p. "if you cant do the job yourself go for someone who can"

i think they beat us in the netball....once
