West Indies in Australia

what an entertaining day. The hill at adelaide oval was in full swing. as the guys whislted at girls walking past and beer flowed. in other parts of the ground the atmosphere was good, but nothing memorable. overall i would say that was the best day of the est so far in terms of crowd enjoyment.

I agree with you. If Sarwan continues and makes somewhere near a century and if Lara can score a century than it will be difficult for AUstralia but they will still chase any total. They may not have a spinner but they do have Dwayne Bravo who is in very good form. I feel the next time he meets AUstralia he will do extremely well and may be the next Flintoff. Great all rounder he is :hpraise

I don't think they will chase 500 in 2 sessions or something like that. If its gettable they will go for it. They defintiely won't want to lose. But right now they will be thinking of bowling the Windies out cheaply and 3-0 is on the cards.

Do you reckon they should have dropped Clarke

Just look at our middle order and you will find your answer. Hodge technique is perfect and he looked comfortable while Hussey has scored his 2nd 100 in as many matches.

i think it is premature to judge if hussey is the perfect batsman in the middle order. IMO he has the perfect technique and ability to be in the middle order. I feel he will be tested when the South Africans arrive here and will face the likes of Pollock, Ntini and Andre Nel who are all superb seam bowlers. Hodge technique reminds me of damien martyn and mark waugh which is good to see.

The Great man gets the Great man caught by a great catch. Aka Warne gets Lara caught Hayden.

It was a werid field placement by Ponting with a few close catching men and then guys on the boundary which basically was saying take a single Lara and we're bowl at Sarwan. Maybe this was Ponting's plan.

Awww :( I was looking forward to see Lara bat. Great catch.

Now a shocking umpiring decision. THe umpiring this series has been very bad, especially from Billy :( hate to say it.

Another dodgy and schocking decision. The umpiring standards so far in this series has been schocking. Bowden is starting to get worst now and he must be converting to be an aussie. I also wanted to see Lara bat but it was a great catch by Hayden.

Ummm Bowden will never turn into an Aussie. Think plumb LBW and that says it all :)
Just call it Bowden's law. Plumb LBW is not out and going down leg side is out!

Pretty insipid performance thus far from the Windies on what is still a road of a pitch. Came out defensive and it cost them. Looks like McGrath and Warne need some time to shake off niggles. I have no idea why Warne wasn't rested for a dead rubber match. Billy continues his poor form.

Well obviously Bowden is not going to convert to an aussie but i notice he does favour australia. Bowden was an excellent umpire a few years back but now he is proveing to be quite incompetent now. I must say Lee also influenced Bowden in the decision. Lee running down the pitch celebrating as if it was a foregone conclusion and is the reason why i feel Lee should be warned at least.
