West Indies in Australia

Dead rubber thats the reason. Aus are sick of losing in the dead rubbers. Without Warne and McGrath the Windies would have won. That sure doesn't fix the problem Aus have in dead rubbers.
You have to remember that Warne doesn't play ODIs so he will miss the ODI series against NZ and McGrath is already being rested for that. So both will have long breaks.

I don't think it helps Billy when he gets voted worst umpire by the Australian team. I guess thats playing with his mind. I don't see how he can be a good umpire one minute and terrible the next.

It was the Ashes were he really went crap to me. I always thought Billy was a good umpire and very entertaining. He seems to have lost that entertainment and the calls are going bad. Maybe he needs to relax more and start enjoying cricket. Pressure seems to be getting to him.

well i reckon the bad umpiring decisions have ruined the series. It could of been alot closer and more exciting. No wonder not many people are not interested in the cricket this summer.

Just saw that heated discussion between ponting and bowden which occured last night. I must say ponting is such a loser and starts having a cry, he gets all heated up just for one over. Ponting is probably the worst going around because of the situation last evening and also during the ashes when he was having a cry about the run out. I reckon ponting deserves to be kicked out of his captain position and let gilchrist be the skipper.

Chanderpaul is gone. That ends a miserable tour for him and Hodge takes a good catch. The Great man of course takes the wicket.

I'm not impressed with how long its taking for Ponting to bowl MacGill. Lee bar his first over hasn't looked like getting a wicket.

OMFG another dodgy decision. This is turning out to be the worst series ever.

Warne gets Dwyane Smith although there was a huge inside edge. Now the umpiring at both ends is crap. Dar before that had a great match.

Lets see what Ramdin and Bravo can do this time round.

About time the commentators say the umpires have got it wrong the shole series. Stupid biased Aussie commentators.

After a few more replays super eye Dar may have got it right. It may have hit the pad first and given Dar gave Lara not out on that LBW where there were only mm in it. Hopefully they get snicko onto it.

You're right aussie1st, i don't know why Ponting doesn't opt for McGill. During the post-lunch session i expect McGrath and Warne to continue the attack and Macgill will take over from McGrath.

You could quite clearly see a deflection prior to the ball hitting the bat. Pad first. Out.

If there was a deflection it can't be pad first and thus it can't be out.
It was tight it may have hit the bat first or it may have been the first suggestion where it was an inside edge.

Before the commentators said it may have hit the pad first it looked like an inside edge. As I said lets see snicko to decide this.

Its quite lucky as Warne has taken 5 wickets today. So we didn't really need MacGill. But I wouldn't underestimate the two in the middle. We saw in Hobart what they can do.

i feel that there was inside edge before pad. So far in the series there has been 7 bad calls to the windies and none to the aussies which has ruined the series.
Chris Gayle when he got past 50 , given LBW missing leg by a bit
Brian Lara - LBW brett lee slower ball missing leg by a mile
Lara - LBW yorker hit on the foot, missing leg
Lara -caught behind, missed the ball
Warne - plumb lbw - not out
and the 2 today

Umpires must be reviewed after the series and the appealing methods by lee and warne must be reviewed. Especially Lee's when he just charges down the pitch for an lbw appeal.

Aus have got a few that didn't go their way when it should have. Last test Lara tried to hook and got a faint glove. That was given not out. there are a few others. But the Windies have been effected way more than Aus.

Why can't a ball deflect off the pad. It appeared to me that the ball deflected off the pad onto the bat, then back onto the pad....

In any event, its tough to watch cricket like this after the excitment of the Ashes. Let's hope South Africa is a different story.
