I heard on sky sports news that the weather will be good tomorrow and on friday, on Saturday again good, but there will be a few showers. So the weather front looks good. Not sure about the pitch but you can guarantee it will be green and seam around.

Why do I always agree with your posts??. That is the exact team I would have picked, and I like Bell at six, he looks a lot better there, and seems to bat well with the tail. Shah strengthens the top three imo, and gives it better character, and that make for a very powerful 3 and 4.

Can't wait for test cricket to start again, shame I have an exam tomorrow. Oh well, will watch it when I come back from school.

its a very green pitch im told, overcast everyday aswell seems likely so the swinging bowlers have to play.

I wouldn't bat Hogster that far down. He's got more ability to hang about with middle order players than the rest.

It depends on the situation. I always feel Hoggy puts even more pressure on the middle-order batsmen than there already is to score all the runs. Personally, England have always struggled with the tail, and I think part of the reason is becasue Hoggard changes the momentum against England, we start going very slowly, whereas Harmison can score a few quick runs. In India, it was a prime example of that (Not sure which test match).

i dont see the point in flintoff playing if he cant bowl cos of his ankle

shah is a much better batsman so either play him as a bowling all rounder or dont play him at all

Even Plunkett? I know he hasn't done much in Tests for England with the abt yet but he's better than Hoggy.

Personally, that tail is changeable dependant on the situation imo.
