West Indies in England

My faith in Vaughan's credentials as a Test batsman has been fulfilled. Brought a tear to my eye to see him acknowledge that hundred.

7 Hundreds in barely 1 full innings, one declared and one half finished, shows the attack tbh. If Strauss can't score runs against this lot.....

Good day so far and great to see Vaughan score a hundred on comeback.

It just gets worse for the West Indies. I fancy him being out for the series if he's damaged his shoulder seriously after that fall.

Probably brought a tear to Vaughan's eye the way KP celebrated that hundred. That bear hug must have done some damage.

Collymore is bowling nicely finding some swing, KP and Prior need to stay til the end

What can we say? Vaughan and pietersen batted and batting well. Kp with Prior now.

It could have been so much worse for the Windies.
The 2 wickets in the last half an hour just made it a decent second half of the day for them.

Can't wait for Trescothicks return soon but only in the single events or he can negotiate on series. Vaughan and Kp legends for life.

Vaughan played well coming back from injury and his first test in along time but it was against the windies...

Regardless of the quality of the opposition, a century is a century.

Absolutely delighted for Vaughan, very emotional moment when he reached his 100. Back to test cricket with a flourish. I dont care whether its against a 2nd rate attack to be honest, to come back into test cricket after 18 months and do what Vaughan did takes some doing.

KP in great form as well at the moment, he's looked brilliant today, I'd like him to beat 158 though:p. Hopefully Prior can keep his good start at Lords up here with a decent innings.

England's day most definitely (not finished yet though:p), the West Indies especially unlucky with the Sarwan injury. I hope he recovers soon.

West Indies arn't bad. There Shocking. Nah they have had good spells and there bowling isnt there speciality, Gayle is the only good bowler and Collymore. It would be even more special for it at his home Ground, hopefully hes batting on monday wen i go. in the second innings

it does take alot of concentration to make a test hundred.... unless your kevin pietersen

As when Osama proposed to Bush "It ain't gonna happen".....

When/If Fred is fit again, the man to drop would be perhaps Strauss?. I couldn't see who you'd drop for Tres if our side was...

Cook
Vaughan
Bell
KP
Colly
Prior
Flintoff
Plunkett
Harmison
Hoggard
Panesar

---------

Good day today, two good hundreds - even against this attack - Vaughan did look good. KP was stunning and hopefully he can beat 158 tomorrow! Collymore did bowl well when Bell and Colly fell. There could be some assistance tomorrow for our bowlers.

Who takes the new ball tomorrow.

Sidebottom and Harmison
Sidebottom and Plunkett
Harmison and Plunkett

?

I reckon either 1 or 2. I can't actually choose though!

Pietersen is gonna be out for 158 tomorrow; I've got a gut feeling on it!

Sidebottom and Harmison with the new ball imo. Plunkett and Collingwood as 1st and 2nd change. Mind you, Panesar bowled brilliantly here last year so maybe bring him on before Collingwood.
