West Indies tour of New Zealand

ahhahahahaha what a match.

Benn ends up bowling a no ball and it goes for 7 runs and than bowls the batsman next.

It's really stupid of Benn to bowl a no-ball at this situation.Lol
WI have won this match

I knew we wouldn't He hardly got any runs and hadn't batted in over an hour. Gayle was hardly out. Pretty unfair in that regard. It took too long. Gimme a bowl out any day.

Benn's a chucker. I hope he gets looked into.

I thought NZ was going to win, when Oram hit first ball six.

Free hit is only when its a front foot no ball.

I watch a lot of cricket. And even I can't keep up with the rules. LOL. Ridiculous. I thought that was only in ODIs. I thought any no ball in Twenty/20 was a free hit. I'm sure they played it that way in the World Cup.

Glad I got myself a ticket for Hamilton Can't wait what a match. Awesome stuff from Gayle class act just about won the game twice for them!

Vettori called it a lottery. Dead right.

WI do depend on Gayle though. Did prove that!

Ya so many new rules, free hits and powerplays. ICC and BCCI are making new rules. I never thought about the free hit until you posted, why it wasn't a free hit.

Eden Park is the home of Twenty/20 cricket. It hosted the first Twenty/20 International vs Australia, had the first bowl out, first Super over and first tied match. Almost had the first Hundred but Ponting couldn't get strike last over.

irottev added 1 Minutes and 43 Seconds later...

I dunno what you guys think, but in my opinion bowling a beamer is more deserving of punishment - free hit - then over-stepping the line by a few millimeters is. Why it can't be a free hit for a no-ball no matter what I have no idea. Just further complication.

What is the concept of 'Super Over'? i dint get it,what are its rules? Can anybody explain?

While I did enjoy the super overs today overall I am not a fan of it or the bowl offs either a tie should just be a tie or if they want to find a winner so badly just go by who hit the most sixes or boundaries. My main problem is the huge wait that happens after the game should be finished.

The first ever super over brought the required result after both the teams battled to a tie in a cliffhanger. WI were coasting to victory when Gayle was batting, but NZ fought back splendidly and must be disappointed that they could not finish it off. This was a thriller all the way and the crowd certainly got their money's worth.

Bowl-out was much btter.

I think they changed it because the super over is more appealing to the crowd, I think they would get bored of watching bowlers missing the stumps; this way its entertaining

Styris out of the rest of the series with a broken thumb. Sucks to lose the experience. He's been one of our better players over the years too. Maybe bring in Fulton for ODIs. Jamie How might return. One of the two.

For the next Twenty/20 they'll probably use this side:
Ryder
McCullum
Taylor
Flynn
Oram
Thompson
Vettori
Franklin
Mills
Southee
Patel

Last 6 is hard to predict. Thompson is a decent batsman so may be at 6 or 7. Not ideal but they won't bring someone new in last minute.

I'm leaning toward Fulton. He scored 60 today and How got a first ball duck!
