India annihilated Ireland, England annihilated Sri Lanka, South Africa barely beat West Indies, and the last result I'm unsure. England look like the strongest team (the only ones to cross 200) even though they were probably facing weak opposition. India did take 18 overs to get to a target of 68 against Ireland (lost a wicket). That is why.

Group Stage - Round Two

South Africa 169 (Brits 73, Thomas 4-35) beat West Indies (168)
England 284 for 4 (SC Taylor 136, Edwards 63, Connor 54) defeated Sri Lanka 70 by 214 runs
Australia 174 for 7 defeated New Zealand 142 by 32 runs
India 68 for 1 defeated Ireland 65 (Sharma 3-12) by nine wickets

we had a woman cricketer come to our school. she was a england batsmen i think

Was probably JB Connor (are those her initials?). They had a segment on her on one of those ICC things. Could probably be anyone, hell.

You could be thinking of Clare Connor here. Seems the most likely, as Sureshot is based in Sussex, as in Clare Connor.

Anyway I'm not bothered about woman's cricket.

Just wanted to say what Kris Srikanth once said before-Women are not fit for cricket.Cricket is totally a men's game.

I beleive that too.

I saw a few overs of Ind vs Aus woman's cricket &it was crappy.

Sorry to hurt the feelings of some of u here.

This is what I feel.
Well whether you like it not, I guess you got to encourage the sport. Obviously women's cricket wont be as physical as the men's game, but I guess by their standards its pretty good.
Just because you dont like it, doesnt mean its not good.

For example.....very few...and i mean very few people on this planet like or watch Cricket. (I can name over 100 countries who probably dont even know such a sport exists)

But does that mean that the sport aint good??

how good are Karen Rolton's and Belinda Clark's stats:

Rolton:
Test: 685 runs @ 76.11
ODI: 3060 runs @ 55.63

Clark:
Test: 899 runs @ 56.18
ODI: 4601 runs @ 50.01

a fan of Indian cricket supports Indian cricket at all levels... I will vote for India here... a bit of ignorant patriotism here but that result against Ireland does look promising and when the Aussie women toured here last, our gals didn't play very badly...

India just put in a good performance against South Africa, winning by 4 wickets. One Indian bowler had amazing figures of 4 wickets for 1 run!

something like Walsh's best bowling stats that read 5/1 against SL in Sharjah... :)

yeah the Indian ladies seem good enuf to make the Semis...

Group Stage - Round Three

India 81 for 6 (Dhar 33*, Smith 4-19) defeated South Africa 80 (Marathe 4-1) by four wickets
New Zealand 59 for 3 beat Sri Lanka 58 by seven wickets
England 221 for 6 (Connor 82*, Brindle 51) defeated Ireland 93 for 8 by 128 runs
Australia 230 (Rolton 69, Keightley 56) defeated West Indies by 79 runs

Points Table

Aha England were not able to bowl out Ireland! Haha! Sorry, but maybe there's hope for India. And when the Aussie women toured, didn't we lose like 5-1? I think that's what it was. Or maybe it was 5-2 or 6-1. I do not remember how many games there were but we lost the series before we had won our first match, I think.
