Was being completely tongue in cheek, Aslay. I hadn't realised it was the same not out umpire we had in the ODI's. Ashwin should have had one of the openers LBW but didn't. It's a shame he's only about 20 years behind the game with his not out nonsense! Nice to see KP continue his good form...

Yeah, I'd love to know how much the umpire is being paid for that. Shocker. Still, we've done well so far, Finn bowling very well still, which is great to see.

Teh lolz. It's a far better format than this dross. One Day cricket was created for the fans, that was the whole point of it, but it has failed to move forward with the game, T20 is now there for the fans, ODI cricket is in this limbo position that the ICC has no clue how to deal with. The...

Better from England, but still a drop from Swann and that hilarious piece of hand-eye co-ordination fail from Kieswetter. Seamers bowling well, Swann has been ineffective. If we can restrict them to 250, that'd be good.

Didn't take long for someone to miss the sarcasm. I am impressed. Disappointing that Woakes has had to be ruled out, he's the sort of player we need to be giving games, not Bresnan, who does a bit here, a bit there, but nothing really match winning.

Bang on. They can take our place in ODI's, they can take your place in Tests. Wonder how many will get the sarcasm there. *eats puddleduck's chips.

Bresnan has always been a bit meh in ODI's imo. Swann was unlucky, he had two other LBW's turned down which were out. Patel should have had a wicket today, but yeah, he's not going to be rolling sides over. If his bowling can be the 6th option, great. But that's not really feasible, we have to...

That's a fairly big accusation, not only proven to be false, but I'm bemused some people even think it's related. On the England batting line-up, I don't think it's all that bad. I'd have both Cook and Trott. But the order needs to be flexible and should be appropriately changed for the...

Agreed on Davies. As for 2nd spinner, Borthwick is around, lets use him. Maybe give Dernbach a rest.

Seriously, you're attacking a team about their away form one match after your team didn't win a match on tour against said team? Yeah, you outplayed us. Congrats. But that post is hilarious. Nice to have a batting collapse again, it's been too long.

This is setting up for quite a nice chase. I think we need to be about 120 after 25 overs. Ideally these two will get us up to about 200 before others come in to finish the innings, don't really want them out before 150 is up.

Doesn't actually matter, as it was obvious the bail wasn't going to be falling back on the wicket from watching it at full speed. That's the only point at which you need to know if the bail is completely dislodged. Unfortunately there is such a huge space between frames, I wish we could have...

The 3rd Umpire is Indian, right? Yeah, just checking. Well done, that was out, but nvm, seems there's no interest in fair decisions anyway. Ferg - They did, they're still setting the team up. I believe the problem has stemmed from the broadcasting farce at the start of the match.

    DRS no longer mandatory

You think DRS has brought in the element of suspicion to decisions? Yeah, before DRS suspicion never existed when a fielder took a catch that was within mm of the ground, or a batsman saying he didn't hit it when he did, or the suspicion that actually the bowler bowled a no-ball, but we can't...

    DRS no longer mandatory

Bat lubrication was proven to be a myth too. Some claim thrown out by Tony Greig iirc. Not that it matters, it'd be easier to convince a brick wall about DRS. Everyone else can use it, India can sit in their deluded little world. I'm fine with that, we then won't have to go through the some...

Yeah, the claims should be probed (though he'll be ripped to shreds by the prosecution and he'll be shown to have no credibility (not that he has any anyway)). Don't see how completely unsubstantiated claims made by someone in the dock by a crook should make people realise how far spread it...

Bowling no-balls deliberately obviously had no impact on the match in point. Don't care about bookies losing out, the more they do so the better. What they did affected so much more than the bookies and those who betted on it. Of course. You know right from wrong well before being 18 and...

First tour match is finished. Finn gets a hat-trick to finish off the innings for a 50 odd run victory. Bopara still looking in good form, as is Finn. Woakes looking useful in both departments. It's quite a big tour for our bowlers. Good chance for several out there to make a name for themselves.

If we're serious about stamping out corruption, it needs to be harsh. Aamir is likely to get a second chance, not for his sake, but for the game's image, I hope he takes it and can give something back to the game. If anything I'd go the other way and say Aamir is lucky that he's (probably)...
