Nice looking story mate. Hopefully Everton can pull their finger out and win a few games...or alot of games.
Cheers Slats!

Vampeta!? well I guess he is good enough for Everton ;)

Id take a serious look at Schweinsteiger, might be hard to claw away from Bayern, but he is quality. Sweden have a habit of producing fantastic young players so send some scouts over there as well, you might also want to take a look at Mr Zokora, more than able holding midfielder and could be a prime replacement for Gravesen.

Why not bring back Matterazzi to Goodison while your at it as well :D

Keep it up Mr Balaji, im sure things will improve for the Scouse!

team looks strong but beware of Lucarelli he is a goal potcher..
Lucarelli had little to do except setting up the winner!

Well! I guess I am on the right track. Materazzi is indeed high up on my shopping list! :)

True about Scweinsteinger. Bayern and me are at loggerheads for a deal!

BTW any recommendations for a striker?

If you can, try and tempt Udinese to part way with Ilaquenta, he will get you goals. Andy Johnson is a good option as well, he will get you goals and would play well with Beattie.

It really depends on how much you are willing to spend on a striker, you could try and get a decent one on loan and concentrate on the rest of the squad, especially the defense.

Clinching the deals...

July 14, 2005

I had seen enough of Vampeta during his trial to discuss the signing of him. He was eager to play and all that stops him becoming an Everton player is a work permit. I have pushed the board to appeal for his permit and all going well, we will have Vampeta for the last couple of friendlies in Italy.

I have also clinched the signing of portugese central defender Nuno Mendes and Umit Davalla. Nuno Mendes was released by Plymouth Argyle and Umit was available for free after Werder Bremen released him.

These players were mainly for back-up to the first team.

I expect all 3 to be available with the team by the 25th.

Nuno Mendes Umit Davalla

Now I can concentrate on more serious transfers!

For a decent and good striker get Dimitrav Berbatov he is an absolute legend and also look at Iaquinat as Brigsey said and see if Porcellis is there 19 year old Brazilian he is a legend on FM

In the line of fire...

July 16, 2005

What a turnaround in my life the past fortnight has been! amazing huh! I have been living as the manager of my favorite club for 15 days and I would trade that for nothing.

But I need to win over the fans eho I can say are not entertained by the signings I have agreed so far. One quick look at the fan forums in the club's website can confirm that.

This job can be merciless! I had too get a couple more of my intended targets and fast.

My discussions with Hernan Crespo is heading nowhere, with the player ready to warm the benches at Stamford Bridge. I have a couple of other targets.

I called in Katie and asked her to arrange for a press meet this evening, where I would disclose my targets.

great story mate...didn't know about it till now...absoulotley amazing stuff...just like in real life...carry on mate...

buy DJ Campbell Bala.He plays for Brentford and cost around ?250,000.I bought him for Liverpool and he was excellent and a very good player for his age :)
keep it up

Do you actually have ?35M for transfers alone?

Nice forum presentation. Good work!
Thanks and yes, I do have about 35 Million to spend. This is due to an option in the game which allots funds every year. Thats why I brought in the club take over saga.

yeah he does ... get some decent signings if u have got that much
I will!

The first deal...

I had taken a major decision yesterday regarding the defence. I needed some quality in my back 4. One of the better options I had was the tall U.S defender Oguchi Onyewu. At 6'4" he has good aerial presence and a keen eye to win tackles.

Onyewu - Good aerial presence
adds to his advantage.

I called the manager of his present club Standard Liege and tabled a bid of 2.5 Million for him. Though they were very reluctant, I was granted permission to talk to the player.

In the afternoon, I called up Onyewu and his agent. He was excited on playing in the EPL. His agent conveyed that Tottenham and Middlesborough were keeping tabs on him. There was no problems in agreeing the wages with Onyewu.

Once that was done, I called up Standard Leige and they wanted 3.5 Million. I have tabled my last offer at 2.9 Million. I do hope this comes through.

As usual, the media got wind of this and I confirmed the possible transfer to ESPN who called me.

Things are looking good!
