Well there hasn't been a draft in quite some time and I've always been interested in running one so hopefully there is enough interest for this..

The Rules are:
- 24 Hour limit on roundly picks
- Players eligible to be picked must have played at least one ODI match
- Once the draft is complete there will be a poll conducted and a maybe a small simulation comp will take place. So you can choose your team statistically or players who are seen as good by the PC members.
- Generally looking for 6-10 people who are interested in staying active right throughout the draft.
- Player limit per nation = 4

Player Eligibilty:
- Players that have played in the 90's onwards must have played 75 ODI's
- Players that played before then must have played at least 25 ODI's
- You are only allowed to draft no more than 4 players from one nation
- You can pick a player from an associate nation, but they must have played more than 75 ODI's and at least in One WC.

Me me me. Make it 75 matches minimum, I think. I would say 100 but KP still hasn't reached a 100 and he should be in there. What I found was that people started trying to justify picks by future potential when they had no idea who to choose. That's why a 75 match limit would be more apt.

75 makes it tricky for some of the older players. What about Dennis Lillee - he only played 63. Or Zaheer Abbas - 62. I don't think Glenn Turner played many matches either. If you have a limit make it 10 or 25 or something LOW - 90% of the players in history have never played 75 matches.

That sounds fair enough, I don't think many people would come to pick players who have played less than 75 ODI's but it would stop people from basing some of their picks on potential, which would make things more complicated in the voting stage. So yeah, I'll put that rule in.

How about 25 matches for players until a certain year? For example, I couldn't pick Virat Kohli because he hasn't played 25 matches. He simply isn't a proven performer (no one would pick him but I'm just showing the future potential argument some people use when they run out of players to choose). However, I could pick Joel Garner even though he has played less than 75 matches.

We should also have a maximum player limit from a single country. I would say 4.

Yeah, count me in.

Reckon we should have a limit based on what decade they played in, or something along those lines. Player's that played in the 90's onwards should have played 75+ matches, but before then 50?

ah ok well 2000-2010 Test XI would be good, dont think that has been done yet

That's actually not a bad idea! would you guys prefer to do a test draft based on the last decade or just stick with the ODI draft? The only problem with the test draft is whether or not there will be enough good quality players to pick from, but I doubt there would be.. if not we could just go with a test draft from 1989-Present.

Thoughts?
