The wickets were very evenly spaced for SA but let a bit too many runs in. Jones looks like he could bat well with the tail here.

Well batted by the English team. Panesar 21* - must be an EA bug :D

Shaun Tait stops tail wagging

Shaun Tait has warpped up Englands innings, just 2 overs after Lunch. Tait took 5/115 off 36 overs. Jones made 50 not out and Kevin Pietersen was brilliant in his 151.

AUSTRALIA NAME 13 MAN SQUAD FOR 1ST TEST

Australia have named a 13 man squad for the first test against England, starting in 2 days time. There were no real surprises. Shaun Tait and Mitchell Johnson are not expected to play unless John Buchanun wants to surprise England or there is a major injury.

ENGLAND ANNOUNCE 14 MAN SQUAD FOR 1ST TEST

England have announced an unsurprising 14 man squad for the first test starting in 2 days time. The only inclusions from the squad that faced South Australia are Mathew Hoggard, Ian Bell and Ashley Giles. The final squad will be announced before the coin toss tommorow. The game will begin tommorow at the Gabba

lookin forward to the ashes it is going to be a close encounter, and with that pres it is going to be truly amazing

PRE GAME REPORT

Pitch
This Pitch will have a bit in it for both teams for the first day. It will probarly have a bit more for the batters. Its is hard with a tinge of green. Should begin to see cracks by Day 4. 400+ runs for wichever team bats first is my prediction
.

England
England will enter this Test Match with its improtant players in good form. Steve Harmison will be the dangerman for England. Kevin Pietersen will need to shine if England are to have a chance of going 1-0 up in the 5 test series
.

Australia
Glen McGrath and Brett Lee will have to get on top of the England top order to win this game. In the batting department Langer, Hayden, Ponting and Clarke will need to get some early runs on the board but it will be hard if Harmison continues his fabulous form into this Test
