Australia have taken a 1-0 lead after winning the opening test by just one wicket. Clark hit the winning runs after adding 16 including a huge six of deep cover. Lee and Warne also added runs along with Hussey, however when these departed leaving Australia needing 16 with 1 wicket left the game looked lost but Clark stood firm and got Australia home. Warne fell first after a poor shot when he attempted to sweep Harmison. Hussey fell straight after to another brilliant delivery from Flintoff who is a definent candidate for Man of the match. So Australia pull through and take a 1-0 lead into the second test.

D.Gower- The perfect start to an Ashes series. England will be disappointed but hopefull after recovering from a disastorous first innings. Australia on the otherhand will hope to buil don this victory in the second test. Now lets discuss Man of the match. It could have been Martyn for his 131 in the first innings but we have decided to award Andrew Flintoff the Man of the match after scoring over 140 runs and taking 9 wickets in the game, congratulations.

A.Flintoff- Thanks very much, i felt in good form with the ball and those 5 wickets really helped my confidence. With the bat it felt good to get some runs but im disappointed the manner i got out both inngisn in the 70's so i hope to work on this in the remaining games. I think th elads palyed well and we defientyl showed how good we really are as a team. Hopefully next time round we'll pull something liek what Australia have off.

Australia win by 1 wicket and Lead the Series 1-0

Great story, presentation is supurb, but I have to ask how you manage to get the CPU out bowled and LBW, do they play stupid shots, or is it because of swing, spin and seam movement?

what a match this was.... Superb end and both played well..:happy Also great match for Flintoff....

Btw,its a nice presentation mate :)

Vaughan misses Remianing test with Knee injury

Micheal Vaughan who over came his knee injury ahead of the first test has been forced to pull out this time with further reoccurance of his injury. The knee which is said to of been damaged during vaughans diving catch on the final day of the first test is a massive blow to England although the England backroom staff were quick to say he could be back for the remaining two tests though the VB Series looks more likely. Bell looks to step up into his place though Cook is still a candidate.

The wicket down here is fast as usually though it has said to have lost a bit of pace. However, the ground is plagued under cloud and the ball will defiently swing around early on.

D.Gower- A big blow for England but a replacement should be easily found and be able to fufill the role.

great story goin on here, keep up the presentation and the work!!!

Missing Vaughan is a mighty blow..But also a tough choice to make btw Cook and Bell! :)
