Australia v England
2nd 3MOBILE Test, 2006

Umpires: Steve Bucknor & Billy Bowden
Toss: Australia (Bat)
Day 1 11:00am
Cook and Anderson play as Mahmood and Vaughan miss out
After a close first test the second test finally begins. Australia won the toss for the second time and chose to bat on what looks to be a typical perth wicket, fast and bouncy. England who have suffered the loss of Vaughan have selected Cook ahead of Bell, though Bell seemed a better candidate, the selectors obviously have faith in Cooks ability. Mahmood also misses out with Anderson taking his place. It seems an unusal selection on such a wicket but poor form from Plunkett and Mahmood has prompted his selection. For the Australians theres just the one changed of Clarke for Symonds.
SQUADS LINEUPS
M.Trescothick - J.Langer
A.Strauss - M.Hayden
A.Cook - R.Ponting (Capt.)
K.Pietersen - D.Martyn
A.Flintoff (Capt.) - M.Clarke
P.Collingwood - M.Hussey

M.Hoggard - S.Warne
J.Anderson - B.Lee
S.Harmison - S.Clark
M.Panesar - G.Mcgrath
D.Gower- England will look to build on there opening performance. Harmison should be a handful for the Aussies but if he gets carried away with the bounce could become costly.
I.Botham- Again the Australins have aquired first use of this stunning Perth wicket. 400 is a must and anything below is not good enough, it will be interesting how this match pans out.
