Story Ashes 2006/7 [c2005] Warm-up OD Game

Australia are on top here. If they get to 500-550 they should declare.

Good fight back by the English, hopefully Gilly plays one of those Gilly knocks and Warne and the other tail hang about.

England will have to bowl extremely well now to make Australia post a bad score or not as good as it should be but great batting by Martyn:)

England have recovered from having Australia 322-3 to restrcitign them to 476 for 9. This largely down to a terrific spell of bowlign by Panesar who pciked up 3 big wickets. Gilchrist was the first to fall when he was bowled. He was soon followed by Warne who was supprised by a quick boucner of Flintoff and all he could do is guide it to Pietersen. This left Lee by himslef trying to lead an attack but despite launching one six he soon fell too to Panear after edging it onto his stumps. England now had Australia reeling at 451-9 but resistance from McGrath and Calrk who onyl score 2 each but faced over fifty balls meant England were frustrated and forced to bwol past Tea.

D.Gower- England have made a great comeback and now have a good chance in this game. It is vital England have a good session and have most if not all wickets intact.

England are 476 runs behind

2 runs from 50 odd balls from the tail enders hmmmm, should have declared earlier so we wouldn't have wasted time.

England have made a decent start after being in the field for 5 sessions. Strauss has toped scored thus far with a blisetering 50 and Tresocthick add a short burst with 22. However Australia have took two wickets which could peg back England. Trescothick fell first when he chopped the ball on after attempting the cut shot. Following him shortly was cook who was out done by a beautiful delivery from McGrath which foudn the edge straight to Langer at 1st Slip.

D.Gower- A good start by england but the lose of 2 wickets is slightly worrying. Trescohtick will be bitterely disappointed after playing so well for his 22 intially.

England are 384 runs behind

If Australia get a wicket or two here then that would put lots of pressure on England to make a competitive score.

well batted strauss hoping for a big centruy from him and kp, on here and in reall life

England have continued there fight back from day tow with them adding 100 runs for the loss of just one wicket. Flintoff has reached a half century taking apart the bowlers and Pietersen has reached 40's and has looked solid throughout. For Australia there are big concerns, Lee is bowling wayward and is lacking control and his other premier bowlers are showing little threat. This could enable England to pile on the runs.

D.Gower- The session coming up is a big one for both teams. England will look to add to there partnership and hope to have some big scores whereas the Aussie will be looking for wickets.

England are 282 runs behind

great batting but could you change the colour of the writing on the pictures because sometimes it blends in:)

thankyou in advance

A brilliant century from Pietersen has but England just over 150 runs behind. Flintoff has hit 80 odd and is lookign in fine touch despite defensive fields restrciting his shots. Australia have looked weak and have lacked the potential to take any wickets. Lee has continued to be punished with his 23 overs going for 110 without even taking a wicket. Worryingly Australia have only used Clark for 3 overs despite him picking up a wicket. This suggest that he has picked up an injury though it is not extremely threatening.

D.Gower- From this point England can look towards gaining a lead rather than attempting to knock of those Aussie runs. Australia are slowly losing control of proceedings.

England are 152 runs behind
