Australia batted well making 47 in 19 overs. England manged to get on scalp of Hayden who has looked out of form through the test matches thus far. His wicket which was brouhgt about by some agressive bowling from Hamrison has brough hope to England who are looking to bounce back from there defeat in Brisbane.

Australia are starring down the barrel after losing 4 wickets in the final session of day four. Panesar made the first breakthrough when he clean bowled ponting who had looked solid before hand. The Harmison proceeded to remove langer with a beautiful inswinging yorker. This brought about a collpase with Martyn adding just 15 before he was caugh brilliantly by Anderson. The final wicket to fall was that of Clarke who had showed some resilience but he was undone by another yorker this time from flintoff.

A briiliant 77 from Hussey has given them a glimmer of hope as they were dismissed for 250 at lunch on day five with a lead of 103. Hussey was offered little support as wickets continued to fall this morning. Gilchrist made just one before he was cleaned bowled and then Warne soon follwed suit when he lost his leg stumped to Freddie. Lee was then dismissed for a duck after being fooled by a series of away swingers followed by the in swinger which he wrongly left. Hussey evetnaully departed for 77 after top edging Panesars first delivery of his third spell. Panesar safely took the catch leaving Australia 9 wickets down. Clark was dismissed the next over by Hamrmison putting England in a match winning position.

D.Gower- England must win it from here. Australia battled well but leaving Hussey with no support undoubtedly cost them dearly.

England require 103 runs to win from a maximum of 57 overs

England shd win this! Nice prsentation!

Its just 2 R/O required! England have upper hand now!

England have completd the victory winnign by 5 wickets. However it did seem for a period of while that they had thrown away this match. Strauss went first when he called through for a suicidal run which cost him his wicket. Trescohtick and cook then added some valuable runs untill Trescothick chopped the ball on for the second time this match. Australia seeing the oppertunity brought Warne into the attack who picked up a wicket with his 6th ball when piertersen was undone by a Googly. England were now in trouble and it only worsened when Cook was clean bowled a ball later. Flintoff soon fell for another runout leavign England five down and in trouble. Luckily Collingwood looked in fine form and hit 31 earning England a valuable victory.

D.Gower- England nealry messed up big time but some good batting from Collingwood pulled them through. Australia had a good match but needed a better second innings to stand a better chance of victory.

Man of the Match-K.Pietersen- Was a brillaint game for me and the team. I felt in such great form and the runs just seemed to keep coming. I think as a team we played well and earnt this victory.

R.Ponting- We were happy with the 1st innings and felt 476 was good enough btu we were wrong and England batted very very well. Second inninsg we could and shoudl have done better but the lead we had was nealry enough but obviosuly was not. We've got a break now so we'll work on a few things and looked to bounce back strong in the third test.

England win by 5 wickets and level the Series 1-1
