Very Sensational win and that too helps in confidence level of England when the series is 1-1!

Like i say everywhere, Com'on KP and Aussies ;) But this third test shd be vital for both the teams! Good luck for both anyways!

England and Australia lock horns in this third test with the series levelled 1-1. England have made two changes with cook opening for Trescothick after he travelled back home struggling from his 'illness' which prevented him from touring india reoccuring. The next changed was Plunkett for Anderson after he took 9 wickets against Tasmania inclduing 7 for 97. Meanwhile Australia have made just the one change after the shock retirement of Martyn. Despite being their leading runs scorer in this series so far, his decison came due to him believing it was the right time to go.

D.Gower- Flattish wicket here at Adelaide though days 1 and 2 will offer somehting for the bowlers. Engladn will not be to bothered by losing this toss and will hope to get alot out of this pitch.

Australia Batting first

Langer hit 53 from as many balls to get Austraia of to a dominatign start. Langer and Hayden both started slowy however intial over pitching from England landed Langer with some nice cover drives for 4. Hayden continued to be watchful which was helped by the fact that Langer was keeping Australia up and around 4 runs per over. However, Langer eventually fell after pulling Plunkett of hsi first over to mid wicket. This wicket brought ponting to the crease who has looked settled and in order just before lunch.

D.Gower- England would have hoped for a better start but Langers wicket was a big oen becuase he looked threatening. Australia on the otherhand will be very happy with this start.

Australia lead by 100 runs

Good solid start by Australia. It is a shame that Langer couldn't go on with his start.

good start by the aussies
ponting scoring very slow with only 2 runs off 36 balls

Haha, seems like I am not the only one who got some beating from Justin Langer. Excellent start by the Aussies putting the pressure on England who now need to pick up wickets.

great pres mate keep it up, not too bad a start for england, plunke4tt is on fire at the mo

England made a great start to the second session after taking two quick wickets. Hayden fell first after Monty un-did him with a full delivery which he tried to charge and hit hard for four. After his departure Ponting fell after a contraversial LBW that was bowled too from Monty. England now were on top however, Hussey has looked settled smashing frequent boundaries especially through the cover region. Hussey has also been supported by Symonds who is making his debut in a Ashes series by knocking up 45 not out before the tea break.

D.Gower- Australia have played very well scoring 134 runs in this session. Hussey looks threatening and England will be looking for a much better session coming up.

Despite taking tow wickets England still find themsevles behind on the end of day one. A substaintial partnership between Symonds and Hussey frustrated England with hussey making 72 and Symonds 69. However these fell one after another when Hussey was caught on the boundary and then Symonds was too. However being 273-5 didnt bothered Australia who have now taking them selves up to 361 thanks to a unbeatne 50 from clarke and a measured innings of 26 from Gilly.

D.Gower- England have lacked the edge needed and now find themselves in a serious position. Its easy to say that if it wasnt for the occasional inspired spell, England would be alot worse of.

Australia lead by 361 runs
