Asia Cup 2010 - Sri Lanka

Matthews is quickly becoming one of the world's premier allrounders. He has shown some real maturity and temperament with the bat and is a more than handy bowler. 2-38 and a 50+ score is a tremendous effort!

Anyways, India play tomorrow! Will be interesting to see the starting XI. I want to see Tiwary in action!

I'd go with:

1. Virender Sehwag
2. Gautam Gambhir
3. Suresh Raina
4. Rohit Sharma (eck yuck puke)
5. MS Dhoni
6. Saurabh Tiwary
7. Ravinder Jadeja
8. Harbhajan Singh
9. Zaheer Khan
10. Praveen Kumar/Ojha/Ashwin
11. Ashish Nehra

Would like to sit Bhaj out and play both Ojha and Ashwin as they absolutely thrived against Lankan players on similar pitches in the IPL.

While the cramping thing is a test of fitness and really is fatigue more than injury, Afridi should not have had a runner. Also, I do not think that this aspect falls into Sangakkara's territory, it is really up to the umpires to determine whether a batsman should have a runner. That being said, I have seen batsmen on many occasions have runners (most notably Saeed Anwar's 194) for cramps / fatigue.

However, Sangakkara himself is not an honest man - the number of the times this man appeals for decisions that are clearly not out are amazing.
Finally someone agrees..sigh. Yeah and i agree with you Sanga appeals a lot which i think he should cut down. There are many instances of him walking when the umpire hasn't raised the finger which many modern day batsman don't, so pretty harsh on calling him a dishonest man.

Sanga walks -

Yes it was a pretty obvious edge but some batsman wouldn't walk off even if it was like this for instance take a look at this

Gayle Vs Pakistan -

1. Virender Sehwag
Viru is back! Thank god Vijay is kicked out, imo he is over-rated.

No way! Virat Kohli will play in place of Saurabh Tiwary. He will take the No.4 slot and Rohit Sharma will slot into Tiwary's spot (in your above lineup). I dont quite like Raina at No.3 but Dhoni's experience would be useful down the order. I would go with Ojha in place of Nehra and play Praveen Kumar as the second seamer.

well is their a good wicketkeeper batsman better then Kamran Akmal for Pakistan, who would you have instend of him?

Kamran is one of better batsmen we have in Pakistan. He can easily be played as a batsman only in place of scum like Imran Farhat, Imran Nazir and other openers we keep on trying. I say play him as a batsman and let a professional take over the keeping job. Sarfraz looks alright behind stumps IMO.

We tried Sarfraz, but he wasn't much better either...

Really there's no one else. And to be fairly honest, that wasn't a chance (the caught behind off of Jayawardene)

Now the wide off of Afridi's bowling... that was simple.

June 19th will be the big day. Want revenge for the Champions Trophy defeat. Bring back that old rivalry. I feel the build up for that game is not where it should be. Whats our media doing?

btw, there is a wiki page for ESPN3. Just checked it. There is a "Controversy" section. And I have a feeling one of those Indian members from PC wrote it.

Please drop Imrul Kayes and play Siddique instead :upray Looking forward to watching Mashrafe bowl again, I just love to see him play cricket :D

I actually like your line up, I would prefer Siddique over Kayes though.
Ashraful :facepalm
Bring back Habibul Bashar :p

Saw Shakib's interview during toss. He forgot the changes he made to his lineup because he got nervous. I feel he hasn't even matured as a professional cricket player and is already Captaining his side. Very tough job for him.
