Yes. But, if Uthappa was fit, he would've probably been selected.

Who would've thought that we'd see 2 players from Jharkhand in the National squad? Dhoni and Saurabh. Really doubt that he'll get a chance to play, but he's a good finisher option. But, I do think that the India A tour of England would've been a better experience for him.

At least we've got some firepower in the Indian team now. Tendulkar rested again? He didn't play the T20 World Cup nor the Zimbabwe Tri-Series. Having said that, he's getting older and I guess we need to preserve him for the bigger fixtures to come.

He asked to be rested, so that he could spend time with his children, ahead of the hectic schedule after the Asia Cup. Personal choice, not the selectors' decision.

I think you missed out Harbhajan. He is likely to be in place of Ashwin. Its a new look India lineup, and if Sharma/Kohli/Raina do well, its likely Yuvraj wont get his callup soon.

I dont know much about Tiwari other than IPL. Did he do well in the domestic circuit? Personally speaking I would have prefered the other Tiwari over him. Manoj looks an exciting prospect.
