Australia A tour of Zimbabwe

Just found out that Taibu is injured, that's why he hasn't taken part in any of the matches so far. I hope he's fit in time for the Bangladesh series.

Gosh, Copeland 13 overs for 14 runs  Zim are 0/86 off 44 overs and Mawoyo is 23 off 137 balls... Krejza hasn't bowled yet either. Paine doesn't rate his teammate??

With due respect to the Zimbabwean opening batsmen, anyone else concerned by the ineffectiveness of Hilfenhaus/Siddle/Copeland? I haven't read anything about the pitch, but surely the pitch can't be that flat so as to warrant 53 wicket-less overs against batsmen with ordinary first-class averages.

With due respect to them, scoring at 2 an over on a flat track might be a pointless task.

Not concerned by the ineffectiveness of Hilfy. He shouldn't be in the starting 11 for the Lanky tour anyway. Siddle is a bit more of a worry as he will be picked I'm sure.

So Mitch Marsh is the only seamer to get a wicket.:cheers That's kind of funny.

Been checking the scores, too inconsistent for my mind.

Don't know why but a part of me just wants Copeland to go heaps good, but he just doesn't seem to be as effective away from the domestic game.

That was a typical Copeland spell, bowl tightly and not give away runs. Big winner out of the day was Krejza, Beer was the most expensive of the bowlers and it looked like they were playing defensively so that is a worry.

It looked a bit like the typical grade cricket thing where you play every paceman like he's bowling hand grenades and then look to slog the spinners. I'm sure Siddle wasn't standing at bat-pad to catch Sibanda, nor Copeland to catch Meth.

Siddle cleaned up the tail nicely and Hilfy did the rest. Hard to take too much from the batting but Hughes certainly putting his hand up and Warner continuing where he left off.

I know thats his bread and butter but hes only taken what, 6 List A wickets for 70.33 in 8 matches. Hardly comparable to his FC record.

Anyway, Warner is starting to look the part in the openers role. Not too shabby to have as a potential back-up in Tests - but still largely unproven in the top international format. Plus, this vein of form must be doing Hughes good.
