erm yes i do think Pointing is a better fielder than Colingwood. Just because he took a few good catches/run outs recently doesnt make him great.

recently? He's done it all throughout his career.

And remember Trent bridge is a great place for swinging the ball as Kirtley and Anderson have proved in the past for us.

One thing for certain dizzy is gone. I hope Clarke is fit as he is looking in good touch. Hayden I guess was getting into form so he probably can stay now considering most of the batters got out to reverse swingers. I just hope Aus practice playing reverse swing in the nets and also figure a way to get it reversing.

Just want to say after spending a couple of days at the test ive had enough of the auzzie supporters. They copy the barmy army in every way! and all they say is "bowling warney" and "lets go ricky".

Well, it was a draw, might aswell have been a defeat for England. Very unlucky for us. So many went past the edge and there were a lot of close shouts. Again the AUSSIE tail wagged along with ponting. VERY LUCKY Australia.

sorry england your gone you couldnt beat us at our worst!!! we will take over from herenow

learn to ge tailenders out you might be in with a chance!!!

Gallispi wont be in the next test thats for sure

lol, Aussies are always cocky aren't they. When we win the ashes i'd love to see your face. Im sorry but if we don't win this year we will in 2 years, half your team will have retired then.

Do you realise that we will be able to bring players in to replace those that retire? :p I understand what you are saying, and quite clearly the Australians have a large number of older players in their first XI, but that's not to say that there aren't players ready to take a step up in the next couple of years, and they don't necessarily have to be in their early 20's. If they are in there late 20's and have had a consistently good record in one of the best domestic comps in the world, there is no reason why the can't step up to the next level for 3-4 years. Obviously the team will struggle to to replace some of its excellent talents, but I do recall a few years back people saying the Aussies would struggle when the Waugh brothers retired....

I personally thing that draw which feels like a loss to england will stuff there confidence up for the remainder 2 tests they really needed to win that test

its one of those silly things you can say without having to even be able to prove it. sure england's team will probably have more experienced players next ashes, but who australia will have is an almost completely unknown quantity.

We did bat poorly, but that was in a large part due to the amount of swing that Jones and Flintoff were getting and the indecisiveness that that was creating in our blokes.

I felt the bowlers did quite well and were let down by some incredibly unprofessional fielding. I felt we bowled beautifully on that first day, creating enough opportunities to have a good batting side under pressure on an absolute belter of a pitch.

I think some of the Aussie supporters need to give credit where it is due. I do think that a few English fans are going overboard as to the brilliance of some of their players, but all fans are guilty of that. The fact is England have enough match winners to be a force over the next 4-5 years. Whether they can domintate opponents in all parts of the world remains to be seen, but it should be fun to watch!

Australia arent playing that bad. England are just outplaying them. The Aussies just dint know what to do. Never have they been tested so much in recent times.

Umpires did well, Martyn shouldn't have been given out, but he should have walked when he edged it to the keeper.

Just like Pietersen should have walked when he gloved it to Gilchrist right?
