On a lighter note, I'm off to the Grange tomorrow to see Scotland play Australia so hoping we can do a Somerset/Bangladesh!!! :p (both teams we've beaten in the past year).

If only BBC Scotland was down here, i'd be able to watch that!

I really think it will be Kaspa that will get the nod in ahead of Tait. I was reading some comments from Punter along the lines of 'we have needed someone to come on at certain stages and bowl some tight overs, and Jason hasn't been able to do that.' That says to me that they would be looking for a Kaspa or a Stuart Clark to come in as opposed to a Tait or MacGill (who have a better chance of picking up a bag, but also going for plenty).

I reckon England should stay with the same XI. I think the continuity of the team has been a key for the Aussies over the past couple of years. With the recent exceptions of Hayden and Gillespie, each of the players that have gone through a roungh patch with the bat/ball have come through it and again been able to produce their best. I think if the English selectors show some faith in this particular group of guys they will allow the players to play their natural games without fear of knee-jerk axings if things should go wrong.

Bring on Thursday week, this is one of the single biggest games in recent history for both sides.

Come on the Scots!! Actually they wouldnt be bad be, I would expect Australia to rest a few players!

It will be interesting to see is Aus play Hussey. If they do then he must be a real contender to play in the 4th test. I didn't really expect Aus to pick Tait as it would be his debut and he can be wayward. I would love to see him play but the Aus selectors are unlikely to pick him.

I think Tait will get a game in the last test after we win the next test and retain the ashes

This is exactly the type of arragance we have to come to expect from Aussie fans (and the players), look at waht was been said at the beggining of the ashes, saying about 5 or 4 -0 test wins. You just dont like it that for once you have had more competion then you are used to from other test nations.

Thing is that last test is the worst aust can play and england still couldn't win they also nearly blew the 2nd test win!!

I am aussie of cause and I agree the team and most of the fans are arrogant and the media gets really annoying now I pretty much just like to watch the game and watch the best batman bowlers not really supporting a particular country.

after that first test I said nothing has changed 4 -1 aust and england wil win the last test

but Aust are finally facing good bowlers and its like the good old days again going down to the wire reminds me of the West indies in the early 90s 80s Aust battleing away and fighting to win I love it

Id like to see england win this it would be great would shut the media up down here and new players will be in the team..

my question is after that draw what will that do to England's confidence??

At least Squiz is only doing it tongue in cheek and doesn't actually believe it!

10am - currently raining in Edinburgh. Match meant to start at 11.

The match is being shown on BBC2 Scotland in the UK, as you would know if you looked at my website!

What's annoying me is that Warwickshire and Durham don't have games today, and Yorkshire haven't picked John Blain in the roses game, so Scotland could have had all their county players, but they didn't release them!

By the way if you're not in Scotland, you can get BBC2 Scotland on Sky Digital if you look around the high channel numbers.

Damn cable only has BBC1 Scotland though!
